Would you believe that our heavenly father said to me that there are going to be machine's for the homeless while i was in the car by myself while my second oldest sister was working her Uber Eats Job 😇 🌟 i think I was overwhelmed. Praise God for all the good blessings he has given to his children and prophet's Amen.

Love the initiative of those people who where behind the project of giving machine..May God bless the generous individuals that will contribute to the current needs of needy people through those giving machines.

Lovely idea, and a great way to give. My mum and I bought a goat and three chickens. We love that this is a long term solution to an ongoing problem. We were wondering if an online version of the Giving machines would be made available? We would love to pass on the link so those who aren’t near a machine, can still give and contribute light.

This makes me so happy to see. I wish more people would admit they used the giving machine too. I don’t look at it as bragging, we need stuff like this to go “viral.” Hope it catches on even more.💙

Brian Stokes Mitchell did a Christmas special with the Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square not many years ago. It was wonderful! You should be able to find it on KZread by searching by the name of the Choir and Christmas specials.

Interesting how the church appeared almost invisible in this short film.

You go Church, while I may disagree on major issues, like the Angel Moroni not being on smaller Temples, I still love my Pioneer Church.

Why aren’t there any machines in St George??? We need to be part of this too 😢

Hi Marie, thank you for your question. These are Giving Machines that provide a way for people to instantly think of others and generously give. Each Giving Machine includes items from global and local charities, such as food, clean water, health care services, shelter, bedding, skills training and educational supplies. The Giving Machines are a seasonal experience that runs during Christmas time as part of #LightTheWorld. Matt 6:1-4 1 take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven. 2 Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. 3 But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth: 4 That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly. What could be more like sounding a trumpet than this?! For all you who will reflexively quote Matt 5 (let your light so shine), can you answer why Jesus would say do good works to glorify God in Chapter five and then proceed immediately to warn about doing good works to be seen of men? Try thinking before reflexively typing a meme-level rebuttal.

I feel like the point of Matt 6 is about not to do good works to boast, or brag like “ look how much I donated to charity” but that others should still see our good works not to brag boast or show how good we are, but help set examples for others and in doing so spreading our light

So they made donation machine so people can show others how generous they are?

or they made the donations machines so that people who don't necessarily know how their charitable donations are used can know exactly what kind of impact they will be able to make 🙂

Hey, that’s perfectly fine! Really, who cares if a few ppl want to use it as a way to show off? The ones benefiting are all we care about. I hope a bunch of ppl want to show off at the giving machine. 🙏 (I really want ppl to share online when they do it also because then it will spread like wildfire.)
