This is a lighting set up that I use in my own business whenever I need to travel light. This set up is easy to put together and not only is it easy to travel with but it also something that you can put together with not much money. Great images! What were your camera settings? Were you shooting wide open or stopped down to like F8?

Spot on! f8 for all the shots. I typically will shoot somewhere between f8-f11 if the client is not sure if they will want to change the background. This allows for a nice clean cut out. 🙂

Great video, Is there any reason one would use a cob light instead of a speedlite

Hi! There's a few reason but it really depends on your circumstances. Personally, some of the feedback my clients have given me is that they don't like the flash constantly going off and they can find it quite distracting. On other types of shoots such as product shoots, it lets you see the the photograph before you take it (using live view or with a mirrorless camera). The issue with COBs is that they don't provide as much power as a strobe and normally need power through a large battery or mains powered. I guess it really comes down to how you are going to use it. I have a selection of lights. Speedlights, strobes and COBs and I just pick the best one for the job. What type of photography do you do?
