Q+A is a television discussion program that focuses mostly on politics but ranges across all of the big issues that set Australians thinking, talking and debating.
It is driven by interaction: Q+A provides a rare opportunity for Australian citizens to directly question and hold to account politicians and key opinion leaders in a national public forum and Q+A is broadcast live so that not only the studio audience but also the wider audience can get involved.
We aim to create a discussion that is constructive, that reflects a diverse range of views and that provides a safe environment where people can respectfully discuss their differences.
It’s impossible to represent every view on a single panel or in one audience but we’re committed to giving participants a fair go.
In order to be as inclusive and diverse as possible, the program is presented from a range of locations around the country and all Australians are encouraged to get involved through social media as well as by joining the audience.
This is an official Australian Broadcasting Corporation KZread channel.

Father of five on an income of 120k. You want people to have more kids then you need to incentivize it. Don't give out free money; change the tax system. You tax me with my five dependants the same as someone without any dependants. My wife earns less than me (60k). The simple solution is to change the taxes to a family tax system. With an increase in the tax free threshold for each dependant. Look at it as not giving away money but taking less. Besides, my kids will grow up and pay taxes so will more than make up for it in the long run. The fact is our system gives less money to married couples (per person) than singles, it prevents spouses of moderate income from getting any centrelink benefits, it results in higher childcare cost etc. So why not have a system that views us as a family unit and taxes us accordingly?

It's not about taxes. Men aren't interested, as evidenced by the falling marriage rate.

@@murphycooper3404 and that my friend is sad. The fact people feel like that shows how screwed our society has become. A wife and kids has made my life better than it would have been otherwise. I'd take it over wealth any day.

Sorry, just because you had more kids than you can truly afford doesn’t mean others should have to pay for that. Families get more than enough already. Stop being greedy.
