Budget Amazon Ebike Review after 1100 miles -TotGuard Ebike

Спорт

My impressions on this budget-friendly ebike that you're sure to see looking on Amazon. I've had a blast with it, though the experience hasn't been without issues. This is a re-upload after realizing very low audio levels on the original.

I just got mine put together last night. Since I’m 6’3 I added on a gooseneck extension and it’s perfect now! Took a few laps around my neighborhood and I have to say this thing is really awesome! I haven’t been on a bike in over 20 years so it’s been really exciting to get back to riding! I can’t wait to get readapted to riding again and put some milage on this thing! One note: I could only get about 31 psi of tire pressure in my tires and they are firm! It recommends 60-65 psi as stated on the tires…there’s no way. Don’t do it. No wonder people’s tires are exploding.

Exactly what I wanted, review of a entry level e-bike done by a person that's exactly like me, a novice trying to get into e-bikes. Very well made, and you've made up my mind on getting the bike. Thank you!

People have a HUGE misunderstanding about what quality control does and doesn't do. The plant that I used to work at, QC would check parts at that beginning, the middle and the end of the run. They NEVER checked every single part produced. It's an unrealistic expectation and would add an incredible cost to everything you buy. That being said, flawed parts did sneak through, not very often, but it did happen. If you really think they should quality check every single product that is made, get ready to wait for everything you want and get ready for prices to increase. The days of the $600 ebike will disappear altogether. I worked at Toyota for 7 years, they did quality checks on just about every truck. The $40,000 price tag proves that...

I’m 6’4 and bought my first ebike a Euphrees! Omg superior quality and smoothest ride and I tested many before deciding on the City Robin X in White! I added the phone attachment and mirrors on both side. The added benefit they are based in the USA! Parts are easy to get if needed. It’s a two thousand dollar investment but so worth it! Get out there and start riding!

I spent months looking for the best bike at the best price. I just built my own last night. Including cost of bike all in $600. 48 volt 1000 watt motor, 15 ah battery pulls me up hill like flat ground Compare that to anything under 1000

Get those u shaped spring adapter for seat. It's shaped like a looping V of rods being the shocks. Works great over the ones with the spring within seat tube as with having a rear rack not practical due to the tightning of rack s end to seat tube. It will make the spring stuck.

hey friend, you said the suspension has no adjustment besides on or off, but the line shaped nob on the other end of the fork on the other side adjusts the dampening I think. A few quarter turns one way or another

Hey, this video is super helpful! I found this bike on Amazon and I really like the price range considering some can be pretty pricey. You mentioned issues with the brakes, I plan to pull my infant and 2.5 year on this. Something like the brakes not working properly could be a pretty big issue for me. Has the brakes ever just not worked or the tension just gets loose and needs adjusting? Would you trust your wife to take that bike out with your two very small children with an issue like that?

I now have a little over a month with this. The brakes on mine needed to be adjusted. After centering them, they work great. Just be careful to start braking early when approaching intersections and other dangerous obstacles. It is possible to lock the brakes and skid on a low grip surface, otherwise not necessarily and it might take longer than expected to slow down. Take care in general, it feels a little top heavy, especially with a loaded rack. I go shopping sometimes with a catering backpack (18" cubed), it's heavy enough to compress the shoulders and spine when loaded. Mounted to the bike, the bike is hard to hold up if it tilts at all. I wonder if this is why someone suggested a smaller bike for carrying loads. I was concerned with best advertised range within my budget out of well rated options. I just take a bus back when I'm concerned about falling over. Especially with heavy winds.

Nice e bike! I bought a Mukkpett 350watt with a 48v 10.4ah which is really a 480 watt around same price. Came with LCD screen of all the specs of use including wattage power use. I use same cargo set up but with the hollow plastic bins.. But the BEST part I upgraded bike with 2nd Gearless 2000watt motor to use as Turbo Booster on the long distance rides of going 40mph of a 5 mile trip. ( Only use original gear motor within community streets). Oh, quick tip, e bikes do not do good with trailer cargo or trailing load from behind. You can put same weight on back rear rack and ride efficiently over pulling. Has to do with physics of weight sitting on air of tire while pulling puts a lot of stress of the revving of power. I experimented this and now no longer pull a trailer. If it can be put on back rack it's all good.

Yes, you'll want to be careful about always putting the rubber cover in the charging port, but I rode mine in all sorts of weather and mud and I only switched to a different bike due to bending the rear wheel bump jumping a curb at 1200 miles and not being up to refitting the hub motor.

Get a neck extender and better brakes. The neck extension is aife saver as the stock neck is short and flat and leaves you hunched over. The brakes take subtle adjustments to really hone properly. But if you get your bike in the condition you want it’s so much frickin fun.
