1. There will be many uncertainties and challenges in the future in view of more and more regional conflicts / military confrontations. 2. Governing Singapore as a " tiny and fragile red dot " is definitely an uneasy task and extremely heavy burden. 3. Singaporeans have been blessed with very far-sighted , long-term planing , effective and creative national leaders for more than half a century. There are sayings that " ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS " and that " LET THE FACTS SPEAK " . 4. I thank all national leaders from the bottom of my heart for their extraordinary achievements and selfless contributions since 1959 .
