I remember watching this live with my two brothers on a warm endless summers night in midlands Ireland. Buddy Miles lives on forever.
that man was taking lessons everyy night he played drums for hendrix...they sound so similar its almost like jimi jumped into his body for one night only! DAMN!

This makes me appreciate Mr Miles even more!!!!!!
Had to be recorded well before 2000...he could walk without his two canes....Saw him play the drums at a memorial conceret for Stevie Ray in Oct 2000 and he could hardly walk......God rest both of their collective souls.....I am amazed at how well he could play that axe man!!...Who knew huh?

I had the op to play with Buddy in a garage in Dallas July 4 backyard party, maybe 98 or so. Truly a great musician, it was sad to see his physical spiral down. Great experience Great loss
Another horribly underrated ROCK and ROLL PIONEER!

One of my favorite numbers ever. Never knew this existed. Astonishing.

Ok right off the bat influences of Hendrix, Albert & BB King!! I absolutely am blown by your talent!!

Been playing 'Changes' in bands since the early 70's, I never knew Buddy was also a guitarist. Upside down and backwards. WOW, Hendrix must have showed him some licks. In the hotel room..."Hey Jimi, show me how you do that." WOW!
Buddy lived more in his 60 years than most people could do in 1000.
One of the best guitarists i have seen live. And i have seen a lot of good ones.
Saw Buddy play every instrument in Dallas at The Bijou......Was kick ass!!
Killer, can't beat that honesty and emotion, he played from that special place!. ;)
R.I.P buddy miles.
I love Buddy live. Great showman. I love how he extends a song and makes it his song.
Best guitar face ever.

Yup that’s the power
Buddy killing it
Buddy miles real good on drums as well as guitar
man, he is conversing with spirits while he plays.. freaking amazing!
Badass! I can say no more, please enjoy
He's using jimi's tricks, tapping on the back on the headstock and playing with the trem strings..
Great Musicians
Good friend and disciple of jimi
badass
The versatile Buddy Miles was equally good on guitar as he was on drums. Plays left handed with guitar strung in reverse like Albert King. Though a typical free for all jam. Truly a jazz, rock and r&b legend. A true Band of Gypsies and Hendrix disciple...
Very Unique that He does Not Restring the Guitar….

DIDNT EVERYONE? Buddy was equally good on bass and keyboards. I heard many times in jam sessions in LA in the 70s. Like Hendrix he came from solid RnB background where the Groove is more important than flashy technique.

Buddy was friends with Jimi. Many of you are saying; Jimi imitators. Buddy was there at the moment of conception of Jimi's techniques. To all of you "experts" of " music theory " with ears of perfect pitch, Dig, Buddy is playing free, free from the confines of your western rules and regulations of what artistic expression "should" be. Just as free as his friend Jimi could be. If all y'all cannot emote directly from your soul,at the moment of creation, YOU sit the fuck down. I don't want to hear your Preconceived notions. Can you just Experience Have you ever been Experienced Well this man has.
Sorry, but this isn't even close to being as good as Jimi. Buddy is a pretty good guitar player though.
