It’s not only a comfort thing, but it’s a defensive thing too, if you’re sleeping on the floor, up against the wall, you really only have to protect yourself from one angle of attack, from above. So his development between the first and fifth episode, with the fact that he not only slept on the couch, but slept all the way through the night and didn’t end up moving to the floor, meant he felt safe, secure & comfortable enough to stay on the couch through the night - that’s a big deal. :D

In that scene, Tony was raging for the deaths of his mom and dad. When Bucky answered, I felt that he was remembering every single person, every moment, the guilty, and the innocent. That is a tremendous amount of pain to process.

I wish they had a way to like fix Tony and Bucky's relationship Marvel never really put emphasis on that after civil war cause they never met up in infinity war and certainly not in endgame. U know after Tony's death I'd believe he went to maybe pepper or even his grave to say sorry but I'd also like to see Tony forgiving him.

From a Happy Young Man to A Sad, Broken fighter. In someway, Bucky Barnes is related to all the grown ups out there, every boy and girl who are going through the adulthood. Bucky help us realize what it feels when we all shift from kids wanting to play the heroes to becoming a true "soldier" in the real world. . Bucky throughout his time as the winter soldier help us realize the true value of our inner peace after all the hardships and battles we went through. . James Buchanan Barnes, the Winter Soldier, will always be my favorite MCU character, no one can replace him nor his characteristics.

There are two types of characters one likes. A. characters who are so good that you like to watch them. B. characters who are so good and memorable that they remain with you and affect you in a deep way. You think about them and relate to them a lot. For me, Bucky falls in latter. He had an amazing journey as a survivor and it has affected me deeply. ❤️❤️❤️

The story of these three is so amazing. I mean I aint gunna lie, I'm still mad at Steve for leaving them behind. But I think if he didn't, it wouldn't have allowed Sam and Bucky to really grow out of his expectations and ideas of them. Like Sam said, they were BOTH looking to Steve to tell them who they were, for a long time, and they had to let him go to both become who they were truly meant to be. And its not complete yet. They still have a ways to go, this series was just the beginning. I hope we get to see a lot more of them. Both actors only have a few movies left on their contracts, but I hope they either re-negotiate, or keep going with series like TFATWS which didn't count. I honestly don't know if I will be able to keep watching MCU content after they are gone.

Yes to all of this. I screamed at Steve for leaving and I don't even consider myself a huge Rogers fan. But I love how they handled it with these two. I was afraid they would make Bucky bitter or that he wouldn't care much vor Steve leaving, but they hit the perfect middle so far. Their friendship was awesome and I would like to see a few flashbacks, though I don't think they'll do those.

"This is all really easy for you, isn't it? All that serum running through your veins." No, it's not. Steve volunteered to become a super soldier to end World War II. John Walker took the serum willingly to become Captain America's equal and destroy the flag smashers. But Bucky never got such a choice. He was captured, experimented on, freed, captured again, experimented on again, then used as a human weapon for the people he spent most of World War II fighting against.

there are several characters in the mcu that will always tug at my heartstrings and make me cry, but bucky is definitely in the top 3. his suffering past, present and future made him a genuinely intriguing and layered character despite the few number of lines he had. honestly, his journey is more interesting to me than steve's, haha. i had always thought the resigned way he said that line in cacw ("it always ends in a fight" 5:35) was so heartbreaking. the way he knew that even though he had left hydra, he had been forever changed and that his struggles would never end... i think that's what draws me to his character: pathos for DAYS. i just hope that we can see what's next for his character after fatws. i doubt he has found the peace he desires (and is that even possible?), but i am sure that he has more stories to tell us. i can only hope that marvel studios agrees and has something planned for him like they do for sam.

Marvel does such a good job with the "Perfect Man and His Shadow" character dynamic between Steve and Bucky. Steve, as a character, needed Bucky to be his "Shadow Self" because he couldn't have a dark side. FatWS is a show about how that Shadow has to now become a 'real boy' because the Perfect Man is gone and only he remains. It's a struggle for the Shadow to find his own identity because he's only ever been the Perfect Man's Shadow. The good thing is that the Shadow can ascend to becoming his own man because he's already so interesting and well-rounded as a character. His journey is a fascinating one because he's growing into a person who can be good and do good now. The Shadow need not do shadowing things so much anymore. Bucky is an amazing character. Love him so much.

i haven’t even finished this yet but over half way through i felt the need to comment and say thankyou so much for sharing this with all of us, it is so wonderfully made and beautiful. the voiceovers and the order of these clips is incredible. such an amazing tribute to his journey, he’s come so far

3:17-3:21 made me gasp, I had thought that was what he was thinking of, when I first saw the scene, but to put them side by side, makes it so clear, he was trying to see if he could spin flip the wrench like he can do with the knife, if the weight, hand movement and the mechanics can work for both.

This was amazing and so well edited! Thanks for making it, I really enjoyed watching it. Bucky's story is one of my favorites and while I really liked the new show, I feel like they "resolved" his issues/storyline too quickly. I think 90 years of what he went through would take more than a year to fix (or however long its been since he left Hydra). I think you captured his story perfectly.

This is by far thr best edit ive seen of him. You layered them all perfectly! Matching his pain with his joy, the way he is so much more than a simple soldier with PTSD. He has an entire backstory that rivals any of the "main" characters of marvel and his journey makes him simply one of the best. Bravo for an amazing video and im not crying you are....😅 😢❤😊
