Im also pretty sure the dealer isnt confirmed to be anything-his a completly mysterious being, he could simply be a guy who got disfigured due to how many times he played this game(since yknow-getting shot in the face isnt pretty)

It does make sense on the point of the dealer being in no real danger. The red eyes after losing were a clear sign they didn’t die

exactly, most people see heaven as a place of comfort when their afterlife approaches, but its so interesting to think that, no matter where you go, heaven or hell, you still wont be happy.

My theory is that you are in Purgatory and playing for your life, literally. If you die, you go to a Heaven pierced by needles, a Heaven fallen to addictions. If you win, you take the money and the shotgun and return to alive, and hopefully clean, unless you come back for Double or Nothing, in which case you are still tempted by your addictions.

I think the reason why you can't name yourself as 'God' is because you cannot 'play god' or in other words get all that you want from the game, in other words it's just a play of words that help the gambling theory

I find the god theory since it seems to be based on But yeah addiction seems to be the accurate one

Imo, I think God died playing the game because it was too tempting and even he couldn't resist. This is also why the afterlife has gates and white fog:, but is abandoned and has spikes. God isn't there to run it anymore because he's dead. I also noticed that the design of massive spikes, similar to what we see in the game, were proposed to be used in radioactive waste sites as a long term warning sign to ward off future explorers from becoming contaminated with radioactive debris. Maybe something similar is happening with the souls, where the spikes are to tell them not to enter because God isn't around to keep things in check.

i guess god were really open minded about this game
