Buckleguy Cloned...Their own Press.
Buckleguy is set to release a ton of new tools this fall that will be a welcome addition to the shop and I couldn't be more happy to not only get a sneak peek to show you all, but also to have input on how these tools function feel, and look. I was able to finally convince a supplier to NOT make a brightly colored machine - that's my claim to fame. Of course Buckleguy is sponsoring this video, so it's about their products. But I always try to show you tools that will save you time, money, or add to your projects. So using the self-centering nature of Buckleguy's Die sets, I show you some really cool effects you can get with their affordable setting dies in different sizes to make plain old pop rivets well...not so plain! Happy Crafting!

Standard alibaba chinese press with a upcharge for buckleguy logo.
I cant quite explain how nice it is to see your face in the videos. Completely changes the vibe and makes it feel more personal, not just a tutorial. Seems like it has opened up a lot of different options in the way you film compared to when you had to set shots up in such a way to not reveal yourself.
Hope buckleguy will open in sweden/europé i think that would go just great , lots of crafters in europé , 😉i sure would, and thx for great videos
Nice little rivet and burr look!!! Thanks
Loved that. A wonderful reminder to keep the playfulness when producing and coming up with designs. It is so easy to fall into the trap of what we are used to doing. Always enjoy your videos giving big and or small tips on how to improve. Pat yourself on the back for the impact you make! You deserve it 😊
Hope your appointment is healing! Love your videos!
Great ideas. Thanks Ian.
Thanks for sharing.
I like the lime green. It is my favorite color. I just unfortunately don't own a press.
Howdy from Australia.... thankyou soooooo much for your videos I have been learning a lot and have bought some patterns from you also. Currently I am making a small bag with piping, wow what a workout that was. I have beginner tools and the skiving tool didn't seem to be very sharp or it might just be the way I was using it, practice practice. You make it look so easy but this bag will still look great ( I have dyed it a hot pink)
Your content is always interesting.
Love your videos brother.

I ❤ only God and myself. Of course.
Great tricks. Thank you. Will you be giving your old Setter away?
Where did you get your die set, the cheaper set from? I really love the look you are getting from them and would love to try it myself.
I just received the new 180 deg convertible hand press from BG. I have not had a hand press before and find the dies a bit confusing. The BG dies are fine, but I had to buy some Tandy dies for rivets and while I can use them on the BG press, it is unclear how to set up the distance between dies with the spring and plastic ring on the Tandy die getting in the way. Build quality on the BG press is very high. I just wish they made more die sets. I also had to get the Tandy set for segma snaps.
So are you saying little wonder dies will work in new BG press? You haven’t answered other comments about this. Thanks.
I never understood the lime green on the handle. I’ve been tempted to paint mine. Have you used it for stamping letters or logo on leather? I don’t have a Kingsley or similar machine.
Do the Tandy line 20 and 24 snaps work on the BG dies you show case in this video?
Can you use this to set rivets and burs?
Hey do you think at some point you may start a discord for community to share and communicate and stuff? I’d love that to happen!
Are you getting rid of the old green one?
There was nothing wrong with the old ones you have ?
You should consider doing a give away on your old press... 😉😉
So the new convertible press will allow me to use my weaver little wonder press dies so I can set weaver rivets? That's awesome
I'd be more comfortable applying that kind of pressure on their higher tier press than the cast one. Seeing how much that press flexed in the video made me cringe because I know what happens when cast parts fatigue over time. I'm glad that they went to a more neutral color as well!

it's solid cast iron, so it'll be fine - the flex was the 2" of 3/4 plywood it was mounted to at the end of the bench there that's unsupported, that's why it was mounted so far back haha

They are both made of cast-iron and bonus not the highest end.
How come youre on your own now?
Kam press dk93. Good cheap press.

Great press bet limited on dies and no way to set up spacing ruler.
The casting on the one I received wasn't nearly as nice as that example.
I’m looking forward to you getting back to just making things with leather. I appreciate the BG gear info, but that’s not why I subscribed to your channel.

Yeah, as someone in the UK I can't order from BG so it's all skippable.
just about the work huh...
Unfortunately the press is out of stock

it's brand new so if you sign up for the email alert they'll let you know when they come in :)
It seems so ergonomically awkward to have the handle situated away from the operator.

Congratulations. Return soon.👍.
It looks awkward. You are pushing the handle down away from your centre of gravity so you have no leverage, it really looks like you are struggling to get some pressure.
If the green colour bothered you, why not just paint it? I get sponsorships but keep in mind the wastage.
buckleguy's stuff is about 300% overpriced or more
