I watched changing of the guard today at Buckingham Palace and our great friends the Gurkhas are guarding until tomorrow.

Thank you to the gurkhas for their service to the UK, for many years. Brave men.

Ghurkas have some sharp looking uniforms.

Not just good soldiers but great soldiers they have served our queen and country thank you 🙏🏼

Ah, Britain....how lucky that you have retained a full Brigade of these superb soldiers who have loyally served the British Crown since about 1857....I wish Australia could raise a Brigade and base them in Northern Australia at this particularly difficult time. Thanks to Joanna Lumley these men now receive the same pay and benefits etc as regular British soldiers. Her Dad was a Gurkha officer in WW 2. Les Griffiths

@@FlankerX I always was aware that the Sultan of Brunei maintained a Battalion of Gurkha...but did not know that the superb Singapore Defence Force, elements of whom train with us in Australia, also have the Gurkha. A clever resourceful country Singapore. Les Griffiths

As well as being the bravest of the brave, their marching is absolutely superb!

Proud to have served with you in Malaysia could not have wished for anyone better

I possibly saw a Gurkha drummer in Singapore as a child during The Emergency. He wore a tiger skin which gained my attention.

In India theres a saying - if a man says he is not afraid of death , either he is lying or he must be a Gorkha ! They are brutal soldiers as well as disciplined men .

Blimey, bet the Gurkhas feel like they're going backwards when slow-marching!

Never less than superb. Seems a little strange to see Gurkhas marching at standard pace instead of their usual Light Infantry step.
