It was the coolest show!! I got right near the front and had a great view! Something went wrong at the end, and he had to stop the bit where the audience taps the kill switch. He took a minute off stage to regroup, and then came back for what I think was an on-the-fly encore without a backing track! Suddenly, he's playing AC/DC's TNT, and we all tried to remember the words to sing along. One of the best shows I've ever seen! He needs to do a full tour 🙏

This version of Soothsayer hit me different, not as shreddy as other live versions of the past, somewhat felt more dramatic and impactful, specially at the end of the song. One of the best live Soothsayer versions in my opinion. Very happy to see Bucket back to stages!

Yeah, right?! And also how much of them are improvised with what’s in his head at the time. His mind is on a ridiculous level, and his guitar is the vessel to communicate with us. I would love to see him live.

He only plays a certain amount of songs per show, so it's not like he memorizes every songs. From there, he also improvises a lot. It takes a lot of skills to be able to improvize properly like he does.

Came all the way from Houston TX for this show! Was more than worth it!! No joke you could feel the music, you would have to be there to believe it. What was really cool is while in line for entry a guy standing next to me let me play his guitar so instinctively I played soothsayer… not even 5 seconds into playing, the venue starts blaring it on there speakers outside! 😏 help me find the guy that had the realistic looking chicken and the travel guitar 😂

Me too
I've heard all the different renditions of this song, this one is right up there with the best, so sick!
I love this track so much. Means things to me in an unexplainable way. Even having the couple of bum notes he hits makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up, cos you know he's putting the effort in. So good to see the goat smashing it!!! Long live buckethead!
Whoo! I didn't realize when I saw him live in Scottsdale 2019, that he didn't play Soothsayer live in all this time. But he doesn't tour that much, unfortunately. I didn't get to see him last year, but I am going to the Wiltern to see him next month. Last time I saw him, he played Soothsayer, and I couldn't even dance. I just stood there, staring at him and crying like a baby. I have so much respect for this piece cause he composed it for his aunt, I think. Plus it's pure genius from a master of his craft. Before I heard Soothsayer, I thought Bucket was just this goofball that could rip. I appreciate the shred, but there has to me more to guitar playing than the mechanical for me. One of my dear friends could rip anything before he developed Parkinson's disease, and he loves Yngwie. I used to tell him that Yngwie has no feeling, and my friend would say, "How do you know what he's feeling?" How can less be more? More is more! Love you Bucket for always giving us your all. See you soon!
I met him here in Richmond ,VA .. I could not believe how big he is .. he looked like an NBA player
Awesome!!! I will be going to his next show in San Francisco next week and I cannot wait! Traveling all the way from Texas to see him. Thank you for sharing.
Please Buckethead 🙏...just once, while you still have God-Like abilities...do Hold Me Forever live.....or...at least Er (and have it recorded). That way, a large majority of your fans..including me, can go to their graves as happy boys and girls! 👏

I would love that too but.. the reason i think he doesnt do hold me forever is because 1. Its too emotional (maybe thats why) or 2. Its a really long and complicated song especially the fact that buckethead writes at least a pike a day lol which he would prob have to re learn it or improvise it. But i still hope he does it in the future

Goosebumps.
Amazing show! The crowd was one of the longest I’ve seen for this venue. Just earlier this month on 9/7 Yngwie played (also amazing)but the line for Buckethead was crazy. Such a eclectic crowd as well. Seen ppl of all ages. And props to the maybe 70yr old gentlemen who took what it looked like maybe his 12yr old grandson. That guy deserves gpa of the year! Within the first song a fight broke out and meanwhile Big B is still wailing away lol. Fight to my right.. Bucket shredding in front of me haha. Bucky was on absolute fire last night. Hasn’t lost a step at all. There was a 10-15 interlude about halfway through, I imagine it’s cause he had to put his hands in an ice chest to keep them from catching ablaze. Super lucky to catch both Yngwie and Buckethead in the same month in my hometown Sacramento, CA. Super grateful as I know tons of ppl have never had the pleasure to see him live. Now, maybe drive an hour to see him in SF next week. Which is the same weekend as Aftershock festival. Where I’ll get to see Slash and Guns ‘N Roses headline. Rock on boys n girls!

Big ups to the greatest slayer of sound this side of the galaxy!
Holy crap. He don't miss a lick and added few more to it. Lol if anything! If I had a guitar I would find Buckethead I would kneel at his feet and present him my guitar. I'll open the case up pick up the guitar and present it as a kind gesture with total humility and humbleness. 😊 that will never happen cause I don't even play but I would love to but pointless now at 55 . But Big B has been entertaining and rocking the masses for decades and he turned his love for music and the guitar in to his life's work and I for one APPRECIATE BUCKETHEAD 100% AND all the work he had put in over the years mastering his unique craft! We love ya BUCKET¡¡!!!

You definitely should pick up a guitar and start playing, if you’re alive …its Not too late! 😊 I’ve been playing for 38 years but it’s the greatest thing I ever did just for me. I understand what you’re saying about age etc ( I’m 52) but just do it for yourself a hobby. I think you will love it more than you think ! It’s really fun even just practicing and messing around with the gear. Will either of us ever be as good as Buckethead ? I doubt it but it’s still fun playing along with him even on the mellow more easy stuff. The cool thing about playing guitar is you can make it as hard or easy as you want to at anytime. Greatest hobby/ interest ever ! It’s an endless source of amusement and happiness for me, and I am never bored! 😄
Love this❤

I remember he closed the show I went to see him at with this song. Was Sylvee in Madison, I forget when.. Surreal performance the whole show was..
I got to encounter that Ghost of Colonel Sanders last Ckikkinmas and mentioned Buckethead and wanted to know the Colonel's thoughts on the Buckethead and he said, "I actually designed that Big Chicken Bucket for that fella's head before he was even on this Earth and it's very fitting I think, Buckethead does have the Secret Ingredients for sure!, chickens Love him too, show nuff !" And that melted my candy cane for sure! Long Live Buckethead!!!
