Bucket List item with the Simplex+ and SP24!

Well, you will have to watch the video, but I found one of my bucket list items. Call me a VERY happy camper. Simplex+, ver 2.77, SP24 coil, set on Field, 1 bar off full sensitivity.

Hello again from Fiji Islands, I enjoyed watching your video. A very nice find with your silver coin, well done. We don't have anything like that here. Thanks for sharing, until next time. Have a great weekend Natalie 🙋‍♀️😊👍

Well done Lori. I found my first (and only) hammered a couple of months ago after a year of detecting. It's a good feeling.

Hi Lori, I have been following your videos on the simplex and I have learned a lot about the machine. Today I took delivery of my Simplex and look forward to using it. Can I ask a question about where one applies for permission to use detectors in Scotland.

Nice, I have been wanting to know if you ever addressed the the bit of fog on the inside of the Simplex screen? A friend has one that has a screen fog problem. I'll water hunt with mine up to 4 hours at arms length depth in water with no issues. His has only been submerged maybe a foot for a short time.

Do you prefer the V2.77 version over the V2.78 for the SP24 coil?

My machine came with 2.78 can I "downgrade" to 2.77?

    What is a hot rock?

Ah, the bane of Detectorists. It is a highly mineralised rock, (coal, coke, charcoal are examples) that the detector 'sees' as metal. You get all kinds of hot rocks, not just the coal/ coke type. Those are just common in my part of the world, but we also have a rock on our local beaches that the machines react to. It is high in iron, but it doesn't react like iron. Awful, and just takes learning how they sound. Vdi helps some, in that the signal jumps like mad, but the sound is the thing to learn.
