I actually own this knife and use it as my multipurpose hunting knife. Last year in the same weekend, if skinned 2 white tail deer and wild hog, and still had enough edge retention to chop through the last deer's neck bone with 2 swings (the bone saw was mysteriously missing) and I'm a fairly small guy .

@@roblow89 after the fact some one owned up to the blade breaking on the *bow saw and took it to replace it and "forgot" to bring it back

Good looking alround camp knife I think and the price is also good.atb paddy😀👍☘

paddys potato peelers it is. It is really light weight and easy to wield in hand. I just wish is wasn't a hollow ground blade. But other than that it is a fun good knife to use. Thanks

seems like a stronger equivalent to the Mora Bushcraft Pathfinder as far as practical application.

Good review! I like the buck hoodlum. That knife looks rugged.

Would micarta or g10 scales ruin the balance from the frn?

Dj May , good question. I don't think g10 or micarta will throw the balance off. The version I have used diamond wood handle that feel similar to Micarta.

I have one I paid $35 for. 2 things: the OEM sheath SUCKS! And the blade needs to be thicker.

I have all different terrain around me and this knife works very well and if people are chipping knives they're just stupid people us for the wrong Waze in batoning you can use it very well

Say Heah, I like that Ergo Handle, my Busse Combat Ergo Series have it, I also ask William Collins to do my version of My Woodsman I named Paul'ies Delight to have that done to it, I posted some pre-picturrs of it on my Google Plus.,,.p

Paul'ie 4X cool. Yeah the handle on this blade is my favorite part. It is one of the best handle designs that I have used.

I've carried mine for three years now I have to say I TOTALLY LOVE this knife I use it for everything it is my everyday carry knife of choice ..in the three year period I've stripped off the black coating cause I've herd it could come off in food and taint it with cancer causing material so I used paint stripper to get it off .and as for edge retention yeah it sure can keep an good edge but wish I could master sharping the hollow gring blade I've only really used a stone and oil to sharpen it over the year and still havent been able to get it as sharp as it was from the factory if anybody has any sharpeng suggestions please let me know..Buck makes a great knife I love my reaper..i couldn't ask for more ....God bless y'all ...Marky mark from Northern IL..
