Just had to say this - while JK was driving, he wasn't "rambling"...he was doing a vlog and couldn't just sit there and say nothing...lol So what we got was wonderful "stream of consciousness" from him. We heard about how he was struggling with lyrics for this song, missed a drum lesson because of it, almost had it while thinking about it in the shower, then lost it and was like "oh, what was it?!?!?" He let us into the process of making the song he made for us. He wasn't just talking about the fans abroad and the Korean fans, he was still talking about his songwriting process. You guys just kept talking to each other, looking things up without pausing the video, instead of actually focusing on what he was saying - so you just missed the relevancy and most of what he was actually saying. THIS whole section of the video is one of the reasons I, and many other ARMY, love BTS and especially JK - they talk to ARMY like they are friends. They aren't afraid to be vulnerable in livestreams and talk about what they're having a hard time with - like getting lyrics down on paper for a song they're working on. They show us how they go about making the art that we all love. In fact, pretty much everything you called "random" repeatedly were things that are "inside knowledge" between JK and ARMY - things he's done or said that he was explaining or just talking about. Instagram? He had just deleted all of the photos on his IG, and he knew ARMY went a little nuts that all of his photos just disappeared. So, he was explaining his thought process...both about doing it and about telling us about it. And that led to him talking about why he talks to ARMY the way he does, more familiarly - because it makes us seem more like friends. He used an example of the same language usage with his friend, then he explained how formal/informal language works in Korean. What you called "random" again, was a great lesson in Korean culture. It also seemed like you missed that he edited this video, and his commentary while editing was always in parentheses - like "you get me, right?" during his IG discussion. When they stopped, they were at a typical Korean "rest area" - they have restaurants, a little convenience store, etc. My daughter and I traveled to Korea last summer, and we did the "In the Soop" tour to PyeongChang. One of the stops on that tour was at THIS rest area where JK stopped for this vlog, and a part of the tour was to be able to get either "Tornado Potato" or a "Sotteok Sotteok" skewer. We each got one of them and we shared. They were very good! The choreo JK did at the campsite while "drilling" the camper's feet down was "That That" - the song SUGA did with PSY. JK loved that choreo and used to do it at every opportunity...especially if it meant teasing SUGA a bit. Also...yes, Korea has forests. A lot of them. BTS's staycation shows in 2020 and 2021 were literally called "In the Soop" (Soop = forest in Korean).
