I remember seeing the thumbnail for Thrill on youtube. I thought it would be a J-Pop idol sound. Then I was immediately blown away with the first few notes. When Kanami shredded that first solo,I immediately knew this band was the Japanese Van Halen. That is how talented they are.

The shoot seems to have had a very nostalgic feel to it due to the location and the outfits in general. At least that's how the ladies seem to me, and without understanding all the words. That part was really funny. I like the part at 5:20, where they're struggling to walk up the steps while barely being able to move their legs, and wearing those huge shoes, and Miku's like, "Naka naka kowai (It's a little scary). Maiko-san sugoi po (Maiko are amazing po)."

People make lazy assumptions. The fact is there are a ton of bands in Japan, and I suspect most have checked out loads other than Band-Maid, and people are as picky about the bands they like as they are with western bands. If it was all about having a thing for Asian women, that wouldn't be the case.

I'm a young girl who has been an ojousama since 2014 and I have yet to see one older male fan be disrespectful and creepy about them. It's mostly just assumptions from people who are not willing to give them a chance.

My band has establlished since 2007 until now. We play hard rock songs & sometimes more metal influenced. When I watch this band in youtube last year, I start to think like "maybe we just quit". Holy sh*t this ladies can play better than any male rock band in the world. In my country there's a couple of female band too that play the same genre but they play just like a kid first learn of instruments. But this Japanese band not even in Japan but they make male band in the world looks cute.

If authentic Maiko kimonos they would each weigh around 20 kilos and be worth some $20 - 30,000. Interesting to hear Miku speaking normally. Kanami seemed less at ease than the others and didn't 'work' the camera like the others. She was probably composing as the shoot was extremely long.

Yes, Miku’s voice sound much more grounded. I suspect Kanami might have felt trapped in the costume, not allowing her to move as much as usual.
