RM wrote the song about how he feels pain sometimes because he's somehow lost his voice /himself because he chose going ahead as a KPop group instead of a solo career. Did he 'throw himself away'? He's now playing a different role and his true self is encased in thick ice. He cannot speak his mind freely. But he is still optimistic (spring will come and the ice will melt). Singularity refers to a state of separateness. Sometimes the choices we make require us to put on masks to hide our true selves and there are times which we regret them.
