BTS don't necessarily get forced to do anything, they hold a large autonomy in what they do. Their record label does make schedules for them but if the member don't feel like a certain appearance is necessary then they wouldn't actually go. The reason they have all of these things scheduled is to foster a relationship with radio because they're not the type to depend on payola and paying their way, they prefer to do it organically and genuinely, which is better in the long run tbh. Radio doesn't play them much because their songs are in Korean and Radio is still pretty xenophobic tbh, so that's why I think BTS go and maintain the relationship. They see their appearances on talk shows as ways to reach their fans and meet them, maybe even appeal to the general public and let people know that they're here and they're here to stay. A lot of people will act like they are meant to "save" the members from their label and that they are in a hellish contract, but that is actually false. They are very transparent about the company and their staff, their managers are practically family and you see them in a lot of footage. They even re-signed another seven-year contract that they negotiated with the company TWO WHOLE YEARS before the expiration of their current contract, so I would say things are going very very well for them and their label.

The thing with them is they are not fluent in English, so it's quite difficult for the members. Except for RM/ namjoon. It's not like they are not interested.

Some background info but during an interview they did in NYC, they were asked who was the worst dancer and "fans" in the audience shouted out that Jin and RM were the worst. That caused a pretty big shit show on Twitter at that time. Neither one of them are the best dancers but considering they have insane choreography and can still keep up with the rest without any real struggles shows how much they've worked to improve and become a cohesive unit. It made my heart happy that the others pointed out RM and Jin for this question since they really do their best to support one another like real brothers would.

Yes! You should immerse yourself in the music. They have an excellent discography and if you read the meaning of the lyrics, you will understand why ARMY is so into their music. Also you need to know a little bit more ( watch who is bts and other intros of the members perhaps) of their personalities to better appreciate them. BTS always comes prepared for any interview. The problem is they are asked the same trivial questions over ánd over and nothing about their music. You have to ask the right questions to get their attention.

I watched all of the latest uploads, & this is just a few things I'd like to point out: (Sry if it turns out long!) - "Crack"/ compilation vids from BTS / other Kpop artists won't necessarily make sense if you haven't seen original footage. Most come from music shows, interviews or their own livestreams (on VLive app)/ series/ shows. While some are funny w/ no context, there are way more inside jokes that make them even more hilarious - "Skin ship" (being touchy) is basically how comfortable & close a person is to another. "Ships/ shipping" is also a thing in fandoms, not limited to kpop. Many compilations will be cut or zoomed in to make something seem to be there ("a relationship" no matter gender) when it's just friendship. - Despite the vids you've watched, I'm glad both you & Julian have commented & picked up a little bit of how each of BTS' members are! - All official trailers/ MVs are on ibighit & BTS World (the game Julian mentioned). All official clips called "Bangtan Bombs" & "Bangtan Episodes" are on BangtanTV (both no CCs). There are a few Japanese MVs on Universal Music Japan (no CCs). Great & fairly accurate fan translation channel is BangtanSubs - Please play MVs until they end. Many offical BTS vids have important scenes there (having to do w/ the Bangtan Universe storyline) & fan made vids have done the same w/ funny ones. Definitely pause a vid because there's a chance of you missing something or not being able to hear a comment too! - As a final note, I ask that you react to the following, hopefully w/ Julian (ya'll seem close, friendly, jokesters &, bonus, are good looking 😄: "Meet BTS, The South Korean Boy Band Taking Over The World" (Super cliff notes about the group - 4mins ish) "Introduction to BTS - Episode 1: Bulletproof" (Watch Eps. 1-8; less than 10mins each) "BTS // FROM NOBODIES TO LEGENDS 2013- DEC 2017" (16mins ish) "BTS // FROM NOBODIES TO LEGENDS 2 (2018)" (14mins ish) "BTS speech at the United Nations | UNICEF" (7mins ish)

re Kpop and dancing. In Korea, Kpop is called idol music. It encompasses 4 traits: music, dance, beauty and fashion. The performers are called idols because they are supposed to exhibit all 4 traits. That's why there's so much dancing in kpop. As far as music goes, kpop is not a genre, but crosses all genres. You might find rock, hip hop, grunge, soul, r&b, as well as pop--- and with a little EDM all mixed in.

this is kind of a comment i wanna make at the end of watching all your other bts reactions. I've been an army for years, and naturally have been around to experience A LOT of other youtubers discover and eventually become fans of BTS too (literally feeling like a mom watching their kids grow up and graduate). You said some things in your first video that really triggered me lol as another Asian person but look i know you're still new so ima let it slide - please just keep in mind the cultural differences, for e.g. their music and lyrics have nuance and meanings that we as foreign listeners need to put more effort into interpreting. They've written songs and whole albums on really important and inspiring stuff? And I guess I'm just tired of people reducing BTS (and foreign speaking artists) to some kind of fad just because they don't speak english? So when you get time to react to songs like BAEPSAE, SPRING DAY, DDAENG, SPINE BREAKER...(some of their best and important work) please find lyrics and watch an "explained" video. "DKDKTV" are a korean/english speaking channel that make really good videos like "SPINE BREAKER explained by a korean" for us to understand both the cultural context and symbolism of bts songs. Like namjoon has an IQ of 148 so our man goes INCEPTION with some of those lyrics. Sorry i really didn't mean for this to be a whole essay. I'm just glad you get to enjoy their music and them as people and wanna support that :') lol Thanks for all the content and YOU NICE KEEP GOING.

@@AntonioSalvatore I of course can't speak for BLISS but I can feel what they meant. You didn't do it to be nasty, it just comes from lack of knowledge of BTS and their company. You keep mentioning corporations and controlling the artist and being strict etc but if you watched more videos actually about the group and their agency you would have known that Big Hit and BTS were founded to COMBAT that way of being. Their CEO Bang Sihyuk was/is a major hitmaster in SK and he worked in the industry for decades. He saw the nature of the business and wanted to do something different so he founded BH. The fact that BTS write and produce most of their material is a major thing, most kpop acts weren't doing this and this was part of Bang PD-nim's vision. He wanted them to make music related and relatable to them and their peers. The reason they seem so genuine and sincere is because they are, they aren't hiding behind songs about bitches, money and "da club". They are writing songs about their struggles with mental health, how hard it can be to separate the persona from the real you, the issues millennials in SK have that actually are worldwide problems and more.

5:52 Korean groups are not learning song writing. Dancing, presentation, fashion, skin care, singing is part of their training ONLY. Anything additional is personal expense and personal time to find someone to teach that outside of group work. Like Jackson for Got7 takes 3-6 months out of the year to write and produce a solo mixtape/album independent from Got7 Label. You would put an entire department in a company out of work if the kpop artists were able to create their own songs/music. What was fortunate was the fact that RM being the origin, first and leading member of the BTS demanded that he have total freedom to write his songs. Big Hit Label was a broke company at the time and also respected RM for already being a famous underground rapper writing his own songs. This was almost unheard of in the kpop industry. It was frowned upon because the music composers/producers in the big kpop corporations were the ones actually getting rich off of royalties. Only a fraction of the profits were actually getting to the artists from album sales. Things have improved, and younger artists are becoming producers/composers/song writers; usually after their group disbands. Plenty of that happening. Side Note: This is also a reason so many people stan BTS. Half the ARMY fandom was into KPOP before they became a fan of BTS. What gravitates people to BTS which is often inevitable in the past 7 years, is because BTS is the one group that has stuck together with all the origin members for the last 7 years. Who wants to stan a group that you spend money on for merch etc just for them to be irrelevant after one or two years. Kpop groups disbanding can be ugly, or as simple as the label wanting younger, fresher, cheaper faces to sing their factory songs. It is also used to spark interest/popularity if they think an existing group is not drawing enough attention, or not fitting the image they want. Big Hit is not like that. tg. You are dealing with marketing geniuses under Big Hit Label. I need to apply. I will bring the coffee if I can just sit in the room when those big market strategy meetings are happening.

Lmao so just to you know most of these interviews they just bullshit their way through. They answer whatever comes to mind, if you want serious answers you should react to the Grammy Museum interview or read written ones by respectable magazines. If the questions are not about their music they usually just play around. Even more cause most of these questions are repeated countless times so they just answer whatever cause they are the same questions. Like "which American artists do you listen to?" They usually just say whoever is famous at the moment that they kinda like. If you really wanna know what they hear, I recommend listening to their spotify playlists. They mostly listen to rappers and indie artists.

I keep seeing people recommending you to watch xCel*s videos. Can I ask you “don’t react to them”? ... So, please don’t. If you do, I’ll skip as I don’t support her. Thanks 🙏🏼 There, edited. I don’t seek problems but I wanted him to see both sides of the coin. He read the original post and that was all I wanted. ✌️

Seriously, she's not a stalker, she just has friends in the industry that tells her stuff, and she sometimes therefore give hints out, but don't usually say anything right out to not ruin the surprise. That stalker stuff was started by someone who just misunderstood something and it was cleared up afterwards and they aplogized for calling her stalker, don't start it up again.

I respectfully disagree. You can succumb to rumors but she has proven and clarified that she was at these places as a seat filler. Award shows always have seat fillers so it doesn’t appear that there aren’t enough people. Seinfeld has a funny episode about Kramer being a seat filler. Anyway, xCeleste is an excellent source for new Armies to catch up with who BTS is. She does it with love and grace. All the best.

Ganhiwa yes, I know she has friends in the industry. I’m very well aware of it. As for what you’re referring to... I had problems with her before that blew up(if we’re thinking about the same instance). When it blew, I had already felt uncomfortable with other stuff I had seen and that didn’t help. Please don’t assume everyone follows the trend, I have my reasoning for it. I won’t argue with you just know that there’s reasons some of us stopped believing in her. Peace ✌️

I Should Really Be Doing Something Else Succumb? I wasn’t talking about the seat filler rumors. :) that didn’t even cross my mind as there’s other circumstances and information linked to her that worries me more than her at an awards show. Please don’t assume I listened to a person suffering from jealousy and believed them blindly. I don’t judge people based on what others (whose motives I don’t know) have to say over one instance of questionable behavior/circumstances. Thank you for your respectful reply. I usually leave her alone and keep my opinions to myself but it was irritating how it seemed her videos were being shoved down his throat. So I was letting him know why some of us don’t like to see her content. And yes, her videos are well done... that doesn’t mean I’ll support her but I’ll continue to leave her alone after this. Peace ✌️
