Tour dates 6th feb to 9th feb 2023.
Below is the activities done on 6th feb 2034
After reaching Patna at around 12.30 noon, we visited the Tourism office to discuss our itinerary and we got to meet Secretary Tourism and other senior officers in the department.
Marine Drive Patna - It is an expressway along the Ganga river in Patna, Bihar, we just thought of spending some time here before leaving for Rajgir.
Hotel Jai Jawan Jai Kisaan - It is famous for serving a variety of fish food. We had lunch here. It is in Daniawan which is about 30 km away from Patna.
Hygiene at this restaurant was average or may be below average, but taste of fish with rice at this place was really good.
Fish Rice: Rs 70
Prawns: Rs 120
Chicken Curry: Rs 70
Ruins Of Nalanda University - It is about 100 km away from Patna. It was the world's first residential university and among the greatest centers of learning in the ancient world. It was founded by Kumargupta I of the Gupta dynasty in 5th century CE and was patronized by various rulers including King Harshavardhana of Kannauj (7th century CE) and the Pala rulers (8th - 12th century CE). But At The End Of 12th Century Invader
Bakhtiyar Khilji Demolished The Monastery, Killed The Monks And burned The Valuable Library.
This is one of the popular tourist destinations in Bihar.
Ticket: Rs 40 per person.
Timing: 9:00 am to 4:30 pm in winters
9:00 am to 5:00 pm in summers
Guide - Chandan Kumar Upasak
Contact - 8709812207
Khali Sah - This is a random shop we visited in Silao which is famous for Khaja, made of maida. There are about 100 shops in Silao that sell khaja.
I missed mentioning in the video that hygiene at this shop was below average, i advised the shop keeper about the upkeep.
Namkeen Khaja: Rs 250 per kg and Rs 5 per piece
Sweet Khaja: Rs 200 per kg and Rs 5 per piece
We reached Veerayatan at night and booked our room in Dharamshala.
Tariff: Rs 2500 with tax for double occupancy. We did the booking for our stay offline, they have about 70 to 80 rooms in all, but it is advised to book before going there. They can be reached through phone numbers.
Pandu Pokhar - Thai place had a history of Mahabharata time. It extracts the story of how King Pandu, the father of the Pandavas attacked Rajgriha and converted the place into a horse stable.
Now it's one of the famous tourist destinations.
We had dinner here, food here was average, we could have explored outside but with limited inputs on food joints in Rajgir we could not visit any other restaurant.
Matar Paneer: Rs 260
Dal Tadka: Rs 150
Timing: Sun - Sat 9:00 AM - 7:30 PM

It is surprising that Bihar never promote tourism although it has the richest ancient heritage like maurya,Gupta, Ashok, Buddha, Mahavir and Sita of ramayana. Nalanda, Rajgir, Bodh gaya ,Vaishali are places of great interest . Patna earlier patliputra was capital of India with glorious past who successfully defeated all the invaders of western and central Asia. If you want to know the glory of ancient India, you must visit Bihar.

Bihar is useless today. Please view the KZread video, 'Nalanda sangaramma in its entirety. Gautam Buddha.' You will realize the sangarama was 25 km sq km in size. Sad.
Never thought Bihar administration could maintain tourist places so well . Great job 👍.

Bihari tourist guides are not only humble but thorough with their subject. Bihari 's are down to earth 🌏 people.
I am blessed you chose Rajgir. I am blessed to see Nalanda through your eyes. To make the rooms soundproof the walls were made so thick.

It's great to know that you are recognized by the state tourism (Bihar Tourism), and enjoying the trip with the collaboration of the state tourism. You always enjoy food whether at the roadside dhaba or at some 4-star/5-star restaurant. I had heard of Nalanda university since my childhood and heard about being burnt by the invaders. I am so fascinated to see it through my eyes, although watching it through your episode also enjoyable. I felt so proud of Nalanda university's history. One interesting fact: A song from the film Johny Mera Naam (featuring Dev Anand & Hema Malini) was shot here.

Nalanda Ruins are amazing. Inspires me to do more research on that.
Hieun Tsang memorial hall is world class architecture which u missed. U also missed the original khaja shop.
Unfortunately I didn't get to know that you just visited here (Gaya). I live here in Manpur, Gaya, which is a hub of many powerlooms and handlooms, also called as Manchester of Bihar. I would have been so pleased to show you how Gamchha (textiles) are made here at home level. Our small town Patwatoli is also known as IIT hub as many many students get into IIT every year with their hardwork. Next time when you visit Bihar, please also visit insides of Manpur, Gaya.🙏

This is first time I am interacting with you sir. I am from Bihar and right now residing in Delhi from the last 26 years. It was more than surprise to me that you are visiting my place. I have watched your all post so far. By the way you are visiting my birthplace so don`t forget to visit Lachuaad( the birthplace of Lord Mahavir), Pavapuri ( Near to Gaya, the mahaparinirvan place of Lord Mahavir) , above all world-famous Bodhgaya, the enlighten place of Lord Buddha AND Vishnupad,Gaya. One thing is famous for Bihar that they talk with their heart not from their mouth. 🙏

Lots of love from bihar❤️
Awesome journey
Great drone shots
I just visited the great place yesterday and must say what a great monument it must have been in past. The reason for such thick wall which i assume would be because of heat. Since when i went i felt the temperature to be little less than outside and in June - July heat of Bihar thats fab. There was one other room that had roof and that was super chill as well. Tears came to realize how cruel and Physopath Khilji must have been to destroy a place like this who's doctor then saved his life.

Harish ji... suggestively eating non-vegetarian food on a street side restaurant is a vital point to check, its freshness, oil used can be vital.
Sir, I really like your vlogs because of knowledge richness.... Though share one suggestion - Instead of taking printouts , you can use Tablet (phone may be too small and tiresome to read from)..Agree it's an extra gadget to take care of and keep it charged... Maybe in the long run it will blend in your ecosystem . Thanks again for your vlogs
Nalanda very ancient vidhya pith And takshashila also 🌷🌹
