I love that they added in Jin's crossing guard dance to the choreo. ^^

RM predicted that this song would earn them a lot of fans, so that's why he says "Welcome. First time with BTS?" in the beginning. By the way the lyrics are great, especially RM's part. It's song that calls for young people to be more brave and act already, just like No More Dream is, but they are also roasting the haters in the process.

I'm a baby ARMY and this is one of my fave songs/MVs from BTS! I was so surprised it wasn't as hyped as other songs, the dancing and red-haired Jimin in glasses had me SHOOK 💀

this is a great son and MV, I even cosplayed as Jimin from this MV and even did a bit of the dance from it as well.Jimin is my ultimate bias and my role model and inspiration and I love the way he dances

My ultimate bias in BTS is Namjoon. I fell in love with him the literal time I looked at him ❤️❤️❤️❤️But Jin is also my bias. He's such an underrated vocalist. He's so good!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

This song and this MV show a lot about all the qualities of BTS, be it in dance, rap, singing and stage presence. It was because of this song that I started to like them and I also completely fell in love with a little guy called Park Jimin 💜

When I first watched this video, I was surprised by the amazing rhythm and beat. The second time I watched it, I was surpried by the music video shooting technique. Years later, what surprised me about the music video was that they were really really young. They are so cute!

I think that's the song that brought a massive amount of international people to the fandom Army, i've met them with this mv straight in 2015 (bro i got mad at myself for not knowing them earlier, they got everything i love ugh). And BTS keep surprising the whole fandom and challenging themselves every comeback ♡

You are not the only one who starts sweating immediately the Bangtan boys start their magic. Btw - I have seen all of BTS MVs and most of them many, many, many times, lol, and yet, I consider that 5:45 mark in this vid to be one of the most innovative, dynamic and creative moments captured in any of BTS or any other MV for that matter I have ever seen - RM / Suga just nailed that transition and dance choreo accompanying it is simply brilliant.

Yup. All us late ARMYs feel. We're all thinking "why didn't I pay attention"? I read somewhere recently Suga said" it's ok if weren't with us from the beginning. You found us when you needed us". I found them last November. The Samsung commercial came on, I didn't even look up, I just knew who they were. I looked them up immediately. I was getting ready for an open heart surgery and I was scared. BTS got me through it. I will always adore them for that. I hope I get to tell them that some day.

Hey you. Dope was one of the first songs being a real public hit by BTS. The fanchants on live shows are amazing. The lyrics so powerful "I reject rejection". "Given up on three, given up on 5, no maybe at 6". These lyrics tackle the phenomenon of nth generation in south korea. It's a phrase describing a given up generations since school, workplaces, wage and housing prices are difficult for millennials and therefore some give up housing, privacy, love realationships etc. Watch an explanation to fully understand. So he basically says, no I'm not giving up just yet. Another point is, that they were still unpopular in 2016. For one tv show Namjoon got ill and although the rest of bts was there in stadium ready to perform they weren't allowed to come on stage and be filmed just cuz namjoon couldn't be there. So u would think they would be upset and go home right? No. After the show ended, after the cameras were shut off and the big stagelights were cut off, after everything was full of confetty from the show, they came on stage....in their street clothes...for the ARMY still remaining in the location while everybody else already cleared. They got on stage and also performed dope. "I reject rejection" ARMY was very loud and also sang Namjoons rap part since he couldn't be there. There is a fancam of it. I will try to find it. Ok so the street clothes thing might be excagerated. I'm not sure how much of the audience was still there. An ARMY told me this years ago. But notice how the location is relatively dark and not even the confetty is swept away for them even though both performances for Safe me (mv is a one shot, powerful song) and Dope have heavy footwork. They could've easily slipped. I think you have some of the most genuine reactions I’ve seen. And I HELLA appreciate you starting from the beginning and reacting to the MV’s in order. Not many people do that, so that is why I already love your channel 💜 Second the Storyline: I see you’re interested in it (AH GOOD LUCK) and I know a lot of people have given you the “list” of what to watch in order, but since you react to the MV’s in the order they were uploaded, I hope you always refer back to that list when reacting to a MV that’s part of the storyline 😊 Tip: sometimes the lyrics of the MV’s dont necessarily correlate with the actual MV so REALLY pay attention to the details in the MV. It’s really a STORY that BTS tells. BTS always has a deeper message with their music. Its not only in their MV’s but they have these “notes,” a webtoon, and short films that tie the storyline together. Third, just a question: Do you ever plan to react to more guides? “who is bts crash course 2020” or “nobody to legends” (I personally like the 2018 version better)? I think it’ll help a lot to understand who BTS are and how they became who they are. I think it’s a big part to understand where they started and their concepts and message they send out into the world. So I really hope you’d react to those as well, I garuntee you will enjoy them 💜 TIP: the crash course gives a brief explanation on their albums “concepts” so you’ll understand their MV’s also and which “era” they came about in. BTS really tries to make a difference in the world with their lyrics and I think what makes them stand out is that they tackled sensitive issues throughout their music with a relatable story/concept and they did it tastefully.
