They muted the audience pretty much because they were so loud. Plus seated the Armys in the farthest seats from the stage so you could barely hear them. This video is the best one as it's recorded right in the area where they are.

It's now 2022 and BTS is much bigger than they were in here but I cannot forget how ARMYs planned and discussed and memorized the fanchants because they wanted BTS to know that they're not performing there alone and so they won't feel left out since it's their debut on AMAs. Such a sweet moment really. After so many performances, this is the most memorable for me, still.

army don't only scream their lungs out but also they are so in sync with their songs that they never overpower any BTS members voice. THE POWER BTS AND ARMY TOGHETHER HAVE TAKE ME TO A WHOLE NEW WOLRD!!!!!

i remember back when i was a super casual kpop listener and didn’t know much about bts at this time (i’m army now) but i was at work sweeping and i put this award show on one of the tvs there cause i knew bts would be making history for kpop that night. i remember sweeping but then as soon as bts came on, i stopped and just stood there the whole time holding a broom, in awe of bts and army 😭❤️

There is a big difference between BTS' performance in America and the rest of the bands, so BTS paved the way

The thought that Army was and is always there to reassure our boys and make sure they feel welcome and supported... it honestly gives me goosebumps. The way BTS are/were often nervous before going to events in America, but when they hear Army's cheers and fanchants they feel relieved, it makes me really happy :)

I was there that night... I crieeeeeed! I was just 3 months an ARMY and I was cryyyiiing like I could not speak for 3 days... I cried and yelled like a maniac!! What an absolutely insane and intense experience in my life.... it was.... Absolutely unbelievable!

THIS is how you perform live on your FIRST american award show 💅 and those fanchants 👏👏👏 BTS PAVED THE WAY
