5th Muster Tae was so beautiful and JK...boy did he take us by surprise...they both bias wrecked a hell of a lot of people that day... vocal line came to kill during Dimple and Piper. When Tae looked at the camera I think so many ARMY’s died... you can hear the crowd each time he was on camera. Jimin and his body rolls slayed... Jin’s vocals and the purple hair. The iconic Tae and Jin moment... these two performances were epic. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Their concerts are over 2 hours long, I believe their Love Yourself concerts were close to 3 hours but they also had solo and subunit performances so the others could have a break. But I've seen their Permission To Dance onstage concert from LA on Disney Plus and all 7 members performed the whole time and they would say we're so exhausted but honestly you couldn't tell. They performed like 20 songs. BTS concerts are high energy from start to finish. It's not uncommon for them to literally pass out backstage and need supplemental oxygen because of how hard they push themselves. And not to mention they dance, jump, run around the stage while also singing live. They are just incredible.

a little background about pied piper. It's a song the boys wrote for army. bts is basically saying I know you love us but army don't be too obsessed with us too much. bts also acknowledges how enticing they can be and warn army about it. if you look at the lyrics and just think from the perspective that bts are telling army yes love us but don't be too obsessed you will see how genius the song is written. also the song references a children's story called pied piper of hamelin. in the pied piper story a male character was hired by the village to get rid of rats by playing his magical pipe. he did as promise and when the village people refused to pay him his fees. He used his pipe to lure away the children of the village away from their families . so the pipe in the story is enticing and magical and it puts a spell on one wo listens to the pipe. back to the song bts references themselves as a pied piper that when they perform or even their mere existence is so enticing that put a bit of spell on army. then army is becomes so obsessed with them. bts acknowledges that and celebrates it in the song but also warns us (army) to not be too obsessed with them even though they (bts) too now how enticing and magical they are as a group. side note for years my group of army friends use pied piper to criticize each other when we are doing bts stuff instead of our regular responsibilities. Like if i should be studying or doing chores but i spend my time streaming and watching bts. they tell me "now remember what bts implies in pied piper... right so do your responsibilities then come back to bts" i always laugh when this happens.

Have you not seen the videos of BTS coming off stage during intervals and collapsing. They give them oxygen. Then a few moments later after costume change or whatever they drag themselves to the stairs to climb back up to the stage. Yet once back on stage the smiles are back and the energy is pulled out of somewhere and the perfect performance goes on. I guess the extra factor must be adrenalin. They are true professionals.

I attended their PTD Concert in L.A. (SoFi) in Nov/Dec 2021, Day 1 and Day 4 (2 1/2 hrs of fun and excitement). I’ve attended 50+ concerts so far in my lifetime and the BTS concerts are by far the very best. The production, their talent, their sense of fun was jaw-dropping good and the energy in the entire venue was electrifying and so loud. I met so many friendly ARMY, and the non-ARMYs who came became instant fans by the end of the first song. It was so good that I also attended their PTD Las Vegas concerts twice! BTS members are the most amazing talent I have ever seen or experienced and also the most humble of humans. They are worth every penny and more, and truly deserve every accolade and every music award!

One of my favorite jokes is that BTS wrote a song telling ARMY to stop obsessing over them (pied piper) yet they go and do those dance moves 🤣🤣 I'm glad you did both of these songs even if you only meant to do Dimple

pied piper is the song from the bts live room where jimin was holding the mic like a flute 😁 when you said "was it pied piper for love?" 💜

I laughed when you were shocked at them doing that aggressive hip thrust auhsauhsau wait till you see bapsae (silver spoon), and when you do, also watch the dance practice hehe also I love that pied piper is basically them saying for army to chill out and live their lives, but them they make a super catchy song with a choreo that's super sexy auhsaushaus and I'm obsessed with this part 16:53 its so goodddddd for my ears

At the concerts they tend have some breaks for costume changes, and if you noticed Pied Piper didn't have set choreo util the end. They were able to rest up. Though I have seen them do a few spirted dance songs in a row, so they are amazing! And they are all under 30 still, essier to dance like that. And like atheletes they practice regularly.and work out to build up the tolerance. Pied Piper is such a good song. Especially live.

"Illegirl" is a pun I guess lmao. "That dimple is illegal so I call you illegirl" illegal + girl, cause the song is about some girl apparently. Always appreciate your reactions, always open-minded which is great, even if a song is not your taste you can recognize if it's enjoyable or produced well. I started being open-minded about music a long time ago and I think it's truly one of the best decisions to make. You basically allow yourself to enjoy so much more stuff which ultimately brings a lot more joy to your life.

BTS concerts usually last between 2 and 3 hours including encores. So yeah, it is an endurance sport for them.

This is such an epic performance! The vocal line definitely showed up for these two - the body rolls, flirting with army.

an hour an a half long? aww you're so innocent Bryan! their shows last 2 and a half hrs sometimes 2 hours and 45 minutes! we know we'll be there watching at least 3 hrs hehe this wasn't a regular concert it was a Muster, they used to do this every year (before covid, this one was their last 1) where they meet ARYMs! meaning they wouldn't necessarily focus on their latest releases but release stuff they know ARMYs wanna hear/watch (tons of B sides!!!), needless to say all of their Musters are a must-watch! once you're familiar with their discography you're gonna love them too

BTS is always better live. There concerts are 2 to 2 half hours and they go non stop. They usually do break after the first few songs to introduce themselves and then outfit changes another break in middle to talk to Army then another usually close to end to give final talk with Army. I was lucky enough to go to Vegas in April to see them for there last concert in the US especially when we wont get one now for few years. If you have not watched the full Busan concert I recommend it

Oh man, they do like a 3 to 4 songs back to back in concerts then do a mini talk then go to another medley then a VCR just to change and go out preform more 😭😭

Their stage presence in this live performance is epic. Too bad there were some problems with their mics, esp yoongi and namjoon's.

Once a year there is a Muster where BTS perform and sing all the songs they usually don't in concerts or TV shows. Int this Muster Dimple and Pipe Piper were performed for the first time. It was awesome. All the attendants are Army that's what there are a lot of Army bombs. Also, this concert is free. That pcacciona there were thousands of Armys outside the stadium, there were big screens and they too sang along ans showed support. Wait! The Muster are concerts in more than one day, on different cities (including Jappan). There is also the Festa every year, usually they release new songs as gifts like one of the first video you watches that was a compilation of song across the years and yes, you heard Pipe Piper there.

Adulting these days but got a chance to catchup on your reaction/review of leJINdary performances of our sweetheart Namjoonie’s DIMPLE performed by our incomparable vocal line, and BTSxARMY ARMYxBTS “inside story” loving reminder/diss PIED PIPER! This performance was the first one I watched and the lyrics for the pied piper got me very interested. Referring to the piper tale on how they attract the Army’s like the pipe piper to the mice but at the same time asking you to stop watching them and to go back to study and school or to your life (RM rap) I thought this song is letting you know how they care about you but at the same time they know what they got 😊

Their concerts are usually 2 1/2 hours to 3 hours long. They try to space things out, singing two or three upbeat songs and then taking a break to speak to ARMY or singing a much less hype song. For the more upbeat, hard-hitting songs, their choreo is crazy. For these two songs, it was comparatively easy choreo. It's really impressive when they do Fire and Run one right after the other, plus other songs. They have one live stage medley that's Dope, Baepsae, Fire, and Run, one right after the other. They don't always do the choreo in the medley, but when they don't, they're still running around, jumping and dancing, hyping up the crowd. I highly recommend watching it when you can.

Ohhh yes! The pair - these two goes hand in hand since they perform it right after the other. These two songs are a favorite (I know I keep saying that with ea of their songs 🤣) RM wrote dimples about his dimples 😊. Pied Piper is for ARMY 😉. This pair never gets old! Thank you!! 💜

Hi, I am back. Good reaction, ty. Love both songs. I've heard them so much now but they never get old. They are fire. This live performance is iconic from the 5th Muster/Festa. We saw it in BangBangCon2021. They always killing it. But this stage is legendary. =0p They basically flirting with Army Bryan! lol. Dimple is a vocal line only song. BTS has a few vocal line only songs. Dimple was written by RM. He hated his dimples for a long long time. He wrote the song hoping he can love that aspect of his face and help Army do the same. =0] Pied Piper is sung by all the members. This was a treat. Hugs. -2019 ARMY NY USA 💜 FYI They don't have the same stage. They always change their stage. Remember in Korea u have to work hard and show new content to stay current. The competition is real af! They sing while running on a treadmill. They have been doing this for years to build up stamina. Madeeha Ejaz said on 10/18/22 the message that BTS wanted to give with Pied Piper is so beautiful and precious. Armys have literally grown up with tannies, and you might have seen the boys always telling us "put yourself first" "love yourself" "please be happy, that's all that matters" and that's truly the essence of Pied Piper as well. Sprikitik said on 10/18/22 It's a Lowkey diss to armys but also at the same time a tease to army. Like push & pull kinda love relationship with armys but their message is don't forget to love yourself as well. Remember BTS is d only group who can roast their fandom & their Company's chairman but you'll end up loving them more & into the rabbit hole we all went.😂💜. They always say they're fans of us too, even the company gets inspired with army's artworks, even BTS (Jimin saved an army's artwork & showed it in his phone during a weverse live and inspired his tattoos coz V saw the artwork and showed it to him). Plus ARMY is tattooed on JK's hand. FYI D-2 and Agust D mixtapes are on Spotify now! And RMs Bicycle is also on there now too. So before the start of the Busan concert Jin could not speak. There was something with his throat. He was taking meds and seeing doctors. The Busan concert started and he sang and I could not tell anything was wrong. At the end of the show he told us he was ill and they were all worried if he could sing or not. 0.0 So yeah they are amazing! I have watched a few stages were there was something wrong with the mic when Jimin was singing. And there was another stage were a member was injured and had to sit out. Another where Jimin was ill and did his best but had other members help to hide his bad condition. They all are such pro's.

The 7 BTS members joined Bighit between 2010 and 2011 where they all became trainees and had extensive dance training and learned to sing while on a treadmill. This is why they are so stable when they rap and sing while dancing. They trained between 12 to 15 hour days with no pay or even knowing if they would make the cut and debut. They are even better live as you see. BTS has over 300 songs in which they are involved in every aspect of the song writing, production and delivery.

Their concerts last two and half to three hours. They sing three to five songs in a row and then talk to Army or go to change their clothes and take a breath while Army watch a video... My dream now is being able to go to their concert, at least one!! But I know it would be very difficult... but dreams are dreams, aren't they? That night they were in the vampire mode hehehe All of them were flirting with the cam/Army (Jimin was a little bit shy that night, exceptionally). I think Army is the only fandom who loves them even when they are pulling our eara hehehe (Pied Piper)

Actually they perform in their concerts around 2 to 2:30 hours and they sing 18-20 songs, ans bw there are 3 speeches in the middle of the concert

They definitely sound better Live most of the time. There are a few times when one or the other had a sore throat or wasn't feeling well, or was injured, but they still give it their all as much as possible. There are videos showing them backstage passing out, getting oxygen, etc., but unless you saw that later, you'd never know what they are going through while on stage. They hide their pain well and give 100+% to their performance. These 2 songs are among my favorites and this performance video especially. That said, I have a lot of favorites from BTS. lol Thanks for doing this reaction. :)

Hi Bryan, great video. Great reaction to 2 brilliant songs! Both can just seem like fun songs on the surface but as usual they have some smart lyrics. I Love Pied Piper, it's one of my absolute favourites. It has such a great vibe/sound - as you said you can't help but bop to it, always instantly puts me in such a great mood any time I hear it. 😁💃 and of course amazing vocals. It's always interesting seeing people react to Pied Piper lyrics 😆- you didn't let on too much of what you made of them. I think it's good you didn't listen to this one earlier in your BTS journey as I don't think you'd get it at all - it's different when your ARMY and know BTS. I think the lyrics can definetly be seen as cheeky and tongue in cheek, but they are very interesting smart lyrics really using the reference to the story of the Pied Piper. Not that it neccessarily needs an explanation but Bookish Theories has what I think is an interesting video / take on the song with detailed reference to the story of the Pied Piper of Hamlin which I wasnt aware of. Was going to ask if you remembered Pied Piper was one of the songs in BTS FESTA Live Room but see others have already done so. 💜 Dimple is another really unique song, such a fun song with really cute/ beautiful lyrics - I love that its a song about dimples, I dont think Ive ever heard another song with them as the subject. I agree, I really enjoy how they vocalise the song. I love the smart little play on words with the lyrics 'illegal' and 'illegirl' - was surprised you didn't seem to get that in your reaction. I have the 5th Muster video as well. The Magic Shop skit is so good and then these two songs are the icing on the cake.

They are not much much better live. They are spectacular both live or not live. Listen to a full run through of their discography like on Spotify one day, if you want to see what I mean. However. I agree it's way more *exciting* to watch them live than it is to listen to their music in your home. The excitement comes from their athleticism, dance capabilities, and personalities. If excitement is key to your sense of what music experience should be, then BTS live is how to go, Coming back to my original point, if BTS live were the only way to go for you, you would not waste reaction time going through lyrics videos. When you listen to Jimin and the power of his voice surprises you, remember that he had years of martial arts training before he got involved with singing professionally. His ability to control his muscles and place force and focus in his body is absolutely outstanding. And he uses it to control his vocals.

i don't agreed. Me too, i prefer BTS in live performances because it don't sound exactly the same than the studio version but, it's interesting to read the lyrics and listen the studio version then after, watch what they do with it in live performances. But i prefer most the time clearly hear their singing voices without it's mixing. The way John doing is good coz he can calmly read the lyrics and listen the music without being distract by the perf, it's a good way to doing it in my point of vue.

Hey, not bts related, but since you said you like when bands are better live, you should definetely check out Maneskin and their live stages!! They're an italian rock band (aged 21 to 23 yo). They make music both in italian and english and they're as good in heavy rock songs as they are in their ballads (i suggest to look up the translations cause Damiano, the frontman and lyricist, is a poet in italian)

Ahh both songs are part of Love Yourself Her, the first album of this series. (That come to my mind bc of Fake love reaction hehe...) Hmm concerts are usually around 2,5h, they get like 3 bigger breaks when they change outfits, and bigger we say 5 minutes... they of course drink water between songs on stage, etc, hmm they also have times when they talk so it is also bigger breaks 10+ minutes usually 2 times but later concerts had 3 bc they didn't sing solo songs, when was concerts with solos, rest could rest but latest concerts didn't had solos...

Personally for me the best version of Dimple was 2020 GDA. Different level.
