That was really fun! Yes, once you know them as individuals, it just brings an entirely new dimension to every performance. It becomes, “Oh wow! Jin really hit that note,” or “Jimin had such cool moves there,” or “Yes! Tae sounds so smooth.” Part of what makes it so unique to be ARMY is that it feels like their accomplishments are yours and it is being part of something really special together. That is why you are such a great reactor - you have grown so much and have learned so much (and have also introduced me to new things too). It really feels like an incredible journey and this phenomenal group is happy to bring us all along with them. Hope that makes sense. Black Swan really was a Wow moment. They had all come so far as artists when this song/choreography was revealed. Thanks for sharing this. i think he can react to agust d's first mixtape because he is in wings album and it was 2016 and agust d mixtape released in 2016. so after bs&t he can react to "the last", "give it to me" and "agust d", you know. but agust d 2 is so new so there is a long way to react to it

They really did a good Job in putting These contemporary Elements in it to make that swan like look :) And I don't know what they did to the Floor but I'm so here for it! I remember when I was able to tell them all apart and that is what I was like... How did I ever think they all looked alike? It is very telling because if someone put another group in front of us would we again think they all look alike or would it be easier to tell they are individuals? I have been watching Korean movies and television for about 8 years and the people do not all look alike but when I first started listening to BTS they did. I found that odd but I think I also picked up on them quicker because of my history with Korean shows. Now my next hurdle... I want to learn Korean. Anyone out there who speaks Korean want to teach an old lady (56) Korean? I do know some words from my watching shows. 😋

if I remember correctly, there was a video I viewed, it was either an interview of the BTS members, or a youtube reactor who was actually at the taping who mentioned the special flooring that had to be set up before the show, they're like tv monitor (though I'd imagine them to have to be very sturdy, could also be why they chose to be barefoot??)

This was their debut stage for Black Swan and the stage & performance was simply beautiful. It was our first time seeing the performance and choreography.

I ask myself the same thing too.....how did I miss out on these guys for so long and how could I not tell them apart at first. I think it comes down to the fact that they are chameleons..always changing their looks and keeping it fresh with new hair colours, hair styles, contacts etc. I could tell them apart from a mile away now. This is a masterpiece song and choreo. When you look at some of their earliest work (when they were still planning to be a hip hop group) and the contrast to now it's unreal. Such growth.

4:25 when they kind of jump up V actually kicked J-hope in the face. You see J-hope flinch and reaching for his cheek/jaw

Yes you are right! It was Tae (who is in the back behind Hobi to the right) yoongi is in the front (close to Hobi) but Tae kicked Jhope's face. He mention it in an interview and he said it was a super hard kick

And in the interview just before the performance they got a question like "what do you do if you make a mistake in the choregraphy?" and V said something like "I'm perfect" ahahah

this is one of the lyrically best bts songs for me, about the fear of losing passion for what you love, and this was the first time we saw the choreography! i love hearing about how you're seeing them develop, super jealous of you for experiencing your bts journey in the right order

i always flinch at the moment when Hobi gets kicked, these small stages present such a challenge to their choreographs... they made it work, and amazingly so, and accidents happen sometimes during performances, but it feels like it's hurting me personally. on a different note, i'm sorry i missed the live with Cassie, and that it has been taken down again :(((((

This is my very most favorite TV performance by BTS (except for the first one I saw - BWL on SNL). I've never seen a choreo that more exactly matches a title than this one. They portray a flock of Black Swans so accurately. But you probably missed when Tae kicked JHope in the head at 4:47 (your time in the vid). It was such a small stage... Great reaction.

Have you seen "Black swan Art film" ? It has an orchestral version of the song and a beautiful contemporary dance performance, the boys are not in it. It's hauntingly beautiful and tells the story of the song and dives deeply into "embracing the shadow" theme.

This was the first performance of black swan. I watched a livestream on the train to work and I FLIPPED my shit. The outfits, the small but beautiful stage, the BARE FEET, yoongi's white hair bringing me back to his Jack Frost look XD, the baggy pants, the live vocals, everything....

The first time we go to see a peek from new album, which was a huge deal because usually they have their comeback stages in Korea. We had only seen the behind the scene for still shot songs so we has no idea what was what. And man. Coming right off Grammy stage, Black Swan would have obliterated all other stages. Fun fact, tae kicked Hobi across the face by accident. Hobi said he must have blacked out a moment but kept dancing as normal. Can't wait for Bang Bang Con the Lives!! Now this is nostalgic! This is the first exposure to BTS I ever had, and it captivated me, especially the amount of swag Suga had while rapping, the intensity in RM’s eyes, and Jimin’s graceful dancing plus the bare feet reminded me of pros (I used to watch a lot of TLC Dance Moms, I know a good contemporary dance when I see one Abby Lee Miller don’t playyyy 😂). It’s weird but those were the things I noticed first/reacted to immediately. After that I went down the rabbit hole and was determined to figure out who they were and why they were so good. Also, no worries about the lack of vid. I’ve been streaming Daechitwa and the rest of Yoongi’s new mixtape (the SINGING IN ‘SET ME FREE’ OH MY HEART) on Spotify for a solid 24 hrs on all my devices, so I wouldn’t have had anything to watch it on. Now I’m streaming it on YT in between watching other vids so this is perfect timing.

Fun fact V actually kicked J-hopes head by accident in this performance they were dancing a little to close

If you want more fillers you can react to (danger, I need you, butterfly, run, no more dreams) I mean they were old in them and it's great because they had amazing choreography :)

Their choreographer that they work with on a regular basis really knows each member's dance strengths and choreographs them well. I would love to know how much J-Hope contributes, because he does contribute choreography. Son Sung-deuk - Big Hit Entertainment's Performance Director works with BTS. They also get outside collaborators to work on different dance routines for songs. 7:03 same bread same. I've only been an ARMY for a little over a year, and now I can't even remember how I was not able to tell them apart. I was so so soooo very adamant about not falling/digging my own grave for another boyband/boy group that I REFUSED to listen to any boy band/group music, because I get 'obsessed' very very easily. Talking about how young??? I know I've recommended 'American Hustle Life' (2014) before... have you ever watched it? The first ep is still on KZread (it was a free promo ep) but the rest are on FB watch now... there are 8 episodes, the last one is their first concert in America... ~200 people at the Troubadour in LA. I'd love to hear your opinion on that series even if you don't react to it on line. It's pre-storyline but most ARMYs have seen it and it will give you (and your lovely wife) some idea of why we are so devoted to this group. It's funny and sweet and a little bit cringy at times but as an origin story it's nearly impossible to beat. Enjoy, stay safe and Blessings.

i did....it's a ballet essentially, so i wasn't really to surprised...hence why I didn't say anything...i think they were barefoot in the mv as well too

omg hi! i know you're still editing the enchroma video and i don't know when you'll react to new bts songs again but it just came to my mind that sometimes the lyric videos people watch tend to have inaccurate translations, so i was thinking about dropping you this site doolsetbangtan.wordpress.com (the person who translated these is actually korean). i honestly suggest listening to the song first without paying attention to the lyrics, which you already do, and then read the lyrics, or read the lyrics while listening to the song! hope this helps you in the future!
