This song is based basically on what it means to love yourself. A guy that is cursed with "uglyness" hides in his castle, his garden is filled with bloomed flowers. A girl comes there and picks the flowers, the guy falls in love everyday when he sees her, but the guy never shows himself because he thinks he is ugly. One day he bloomed the most unrealistic rare flower for her to come get it and see it, but she never came because she died. That's the time he realized he fucked up, just because of him NOT LOVING HIMSELF he couldn't love other people enough. The girl came many times there but she never knew the owner cause he was hiding. So basically if he had loved him self, he would have met with her and things would go better and she probably would not die. Message: You can't love others before you love yourself Even if he is ugly and she died he still wants her "but I still want you"

Yup, the story about smeraldo flower

The song is based on "Story of Smeraldo Flower in small town at Italy". The story started in a rural village in northern Italy,around the 15th~16th century. In the village called ‘La Città di smeraldo’, there was a small secluded castle. In that place lived a man with grotesque appearance. The man hid himself in the old castle, lonely. Maybe it was because of the hatred and beratement that he received from birth and when growing up that he didn’t open his heart to anyone, he got angry and hid if someone tried to approach him. His only joy was growing flowers in his garden. But one day, a girl appeared near the man’s castle. The girl in ragged clothes lifted her heels, jumped over the garden fence and stole the flowers. The man was mad as a hornet at first, he spent the whole night to guard the garden. But in his brief moment of sleepiness, the girl picked flowers again and ran away. It happened for several days, until one night the man pretended to fall asleep and watched the girl go. He was curious. Without realizing it, the man waited for the girl, and one day he followed her. He covered himself with a cloak and after following here the man discovered, the poor and weak girl was selling flowers for a living. The man wanted to help the girl. He wanted to teach her every method of growing flowers he knew, he wanted to teach her how to grow beautiful flowers. But he couldn’t come forward to the girl. She would be scared of him, she wouldn’t love his grotesque appearance. In the end, the only thing he could do was to grow and take care of the flowers so she could keep coming to his garden. The man decided to make a flower out of this world. He started to make a flower that the girl could sell at an expensive price. The man shut himself in the castle to make the flower. After countless attempts, the man made a flower that never existed in the world, and filled his garden with that flower. But the girl was nowhere to be seen. No matter how much he waited, the girl wouldn’t come to his garden. The man grew concerned and went to the village with his face covered. But the girl was already dead

I probably put this song on repeat 100 times the very first time I listened to it because it’s so good! The thing that sold it for me, is it’s so vulnerable in their delivery. The vocal line killed it. But I think Jin surprised me most. Honestly it’s so cinematic… It sounds like something out of a Hollywood movie. Also I feel you so much on feeling disappointed that you’ve been missing out on BTS for so long. I’m a new ARMY too. (As of April) And I’m just sad it took me so long to find them!

This song always brings me to tears whenever it comes up on shuffle. Because this song, to me, is about self-esteem, or more accurately a lack of self-esteem.... wanting someone or something that you think you don't deserve because you think so little of yourself... and it hits me every single time.

This is one of my favorite songs from one of my favorite albums. I don't think people focus on solely on the vocal line. While all their voices are very different, they blend so well. And yes, that breathy sound is Hard to achieve with the level of control they have. That's takes some training to get that squeeze of the vocal cords. You get that "desperation " flavor. It's so beautiful. V is very underrated. You should react to Stigma by V React also to House of Cards live. Do the live! It's another beautiful vocal line song!

This song is one of my top favorites. I was fortunate to have seen them perform this in concert. It’s so much more emotional and they just blow your mind with their vocals. This has to be my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE BTS song ever! I will admit the pausing did get a little unnerving but, when you're hearing these vocals... these boys just amaze you. This song is even more amazing when they're performing it live. It's also one of those songs where it's not unknown for them to cry when singing it which adds even more feeling to an already incredible and poetic song. They also switch it up just a bit each time they sing so IMO it tends to sound better than the studio versions so check out a live fancam sometime. :) Edit: The boys have a third song with Steve (Uncle Steve for us fans) called Waste It on Me. It's sung entirely in English by JK and RM with some background vocals from the others. I don't dislike the song but it's not on my constant rotation mix but it's worth checking out. I'd go with a lyrical version since the MV doesn't feature any of BTS in it but that's entirely up to you.

There are so many moving stories about BTS’s beautiful performance of this song, like when V changed up his part a bit and made it stronger, or when he couldn’t sing due to a sore throat and ARMY sang his part for him. But the funny one goes to my bias JUNGKOOK: during one performance, everybody’s so serious, and JIN’s voice cracks a little. JK, who’s right next to him, starts to laugh but knew he couldn’t, so he bows his head and puts his hand to his face as if he’s crying, trying not to crack up, even wiping each eye so emotionally. I love your videos. It's always very interesting to watch/read in the comments how someone interprets those lyrics. But let's be honest every member of BTS had been depressed ever since. Jimin had of course a lot of self doubt too. But they overcame it and fought against it. Of course they helped each other.
