BTS vocal line is incredible . They are so amazing live, I wish they had more unit songs. Jungkook ad libs and voice always get me.

♦️This song performed during BTS early 2016 Epilogue tour in Japan, is about when any relationship, like even friendship, or bt family, is built on a weak foundation, like a “house of cards” (which Jin was trying to build during opening part of BTS Run song, which got knocked down ever so easily) it will be so easy to fall, tumble down, song was part of their HYYH songs (2015 - 2017) from au era, about experiences while growing up. Most all their songs back in early yrs was about all the hardships, struggles, frustrations, disappointments, one has to survive while growing up. Also BTS sang “House of Cards” right after performing both “Tomorrow” as well as “Butterfly” with aside from equally amazing vocals, also full on intense, absolutely incredibly, ever so breathtakingly spectacular dancing with non stop choreography throughout those songs! This is why they all looked a bit sweaty, while performing “House of Cards”! Being able to perform so phenomenally amazing non stop during all 3 songs, is what puts BTS so on another level in so many ways, for so many reasons, aside from all 3 songs being equally some of my all time fav, most amazing songs ever, from BTS! The HYYH era (one of my most favs), was such an amazing era, though loved all their songs beforehand as well. Actually every era is so special in its own way 👍❤️‍🔥😍🔥

In the award shows BTS generally sings their title tracks. These 2 songs are from the B side (non-title tracks). And yes, the award shows have always been huge. The MAMAs, or Mnet Asian Music Awards take place over 3 days, in 3 diff countries (Korea, Hong Kong, Japan). BTS usually appear at 2 of them. And the MMAs, or Melon Music Awards, take place in S Korea- just 1 day. Both shows are scheduled at the end of the year, where all nominees perform. It's a big deal, and an honor. Depending on the amount of time alloted to each group, BTS has always put on a good show. You should watch them, starting with 2014 MMAs. By the way, even if they are performing the same song (Fake love, for example) at both the MMAs and the MAMAs, their stage set up and performance is totally different. And if they perform at the MAMA in Japan, they will generally perform one of their Japanese songs there. They always try to bring something new and fresh.

Jimin's voice is something else. It makes you feel the song more. He is really good at expressing the message of the song. And he always brings something new to every performance that's why I love listening and watching him.

It’s Jungkook, BTS’ main vocal the one scatting. Here Jungkook is improvising the melodies and rhythms using his vocal as an instrument rather than like speaking. It’s called scat singing.

These are also my two favorite songs. It always amazes me (though it shouldn't) how in sync they all are with each other. Not only in dancing, but also vocally. And it doesn't matter whether it's a rap line or a vocal line or a rapper with a vocalist... they work like a clock mechanism. Their voices harmonize beautifully with each other.

@sktyuen as far as I recall, this is not the concert when Jimin wasn’t well. This one is in Japan. When Jimin cried because he couldn’t hit the note was in Brazil. Back then JK supported him and Army sang loudly his verse. It was just amazing 💜

The tale of the Smeraldo flower has definitely morphed and grown over time, but the essence of the story was a man who hid from the world because he thought he was ugly, a young woman or girl takes flowers from his garden, he starts looking forward to seeing her while he watches from afar. He decides to grow a flower specifically for her. He finally creates a special flower but she no longer appears. He goes to the place she would go to sell the flowers, only to learn that she has died.

I remember back when this song came out (I was obsessed with the BTS storyline back then and theory crafting for it) and back when I was looking to all the stuff on the smeraldo flower, bighit had actually made a website, Facebook pages, etc. of a fake smeraldo flower shop. I bookmarked the website urls, but they have long since been taken down. Very sad. I wish I had taken screenshots. Also blows my mind that that's how hard the bighit staff were working at crafting the story and leaving a trail of breadcrumbs for us to follow. Really nostalgic whenever I read about the smeraldo stories again.

Hello, 화양연화(花樣年華: Hwa Yang Yeon Hwa :HYYH) translates as "The Most Beautiful Moment In Life". BTS' s comeback trailer 'HYYH' means 'the age of blossomes' or 'the flowery years' which is a very ephemeral concept to describe the years in one's youth alike to blossoming flowers. Also, the albums explore the themes of youth, growth, and the challenges of young adulthood. 花樣年華 (화양연화: HYYH) is a Hanja which was the prominent script in Korea before the invention of Hangeul (The Modern Korean script/ alphabet) in around 1443 by King Se Jong was the fourth monarch of the Joseon dynasty of Korea. At the time of invention it was really common for Koreans to mix both Hanja and Hangeul together in their writing system, where the Hanja constituted the main root words and hangeul was used to express the grammatical items like particles. Hanja-eo (한자어, 漢字語) refers to Sino-Korean vocabulary, which can be written with Hanja, and hanmun (한문, 漢文) refers to Classical Chinese writing, although Hanja is also sometimes used to encompass both concepts. The purpose of Hanja is “to sharpen and enhance Korean vocabulary”. You will also come across hanja in official documentation and in academics. Many Korean words are derived from Hanja, so having a basic understanding of these characters can help with vocabulary acquisition and comprehension.
