For anyone saying they need to speak English: They are Korean. They have an awesome translator who translates for them. Learning English isn't the easiest thing to do. Just like it's not easy for any of us to learn Korean. But you understood their message, right? I'm very proud of everything they've accomplished in the amount of time that they have been on this earth and as a group. I love these guys no matter our language barriers. BTS teach us to respect other people who is different from us. Me, I don't speak Korean at first (not even English). But once I learned about it, I realized that we are similar. We just different because we don't express something in our head in the same way. But we are the same human being, who has similar taste about everthing. We care ourselves, we willing to listen others. We want to treat people well. We eat, we sleep, we work. If only, we start to acknowldge the diversity around the world, I believe we can make the world as a better place to live Because of BTS, I met a lot of their fans around the world. We put aside the difference, stand together , sing together, dance together,enjoy the BTS without any doubt. We smile, we laugh, we cry, we hug, we talk , we share just because we know that we have the same taste. No matter who we are. Where we come from. What is our background. It turns out we love the same thing and can enjoy it together genuinely. Knowing BTS is the best thing that I could experience. I have the support system around the world.

@@whimsical5325 I respectfully disagree about including the word 'still' in your comment. Intent and impact of our words and actions are two different things. I admire and respect BTS who continually display and exercise both willingness and openness to acknowledge and be accountable for both. They have navigated topics of cultural appropriation and appreciation with sensitivity and humility. They have shown themselves to be lifelong learners who aim to do no harm while also making efforts to promote goodness where they can. I wouldn't categorize their words or actions as "racist" as they don't hold a belief that they are superior or that others are inferior to them. They live, they learn, they listen, they grow.

Its for fairness. Everyone, has to do military service in some way. The only exemptions are people who physically or mentally cannot. If the exempted famous people its like saying they are better than everyone else, i think even if they had the option bts wouldnt want to since it would gove them a bad image

Whether they just want to serve for some reason, whether they don’t want to act like they’re above everyone else who has to, whether they might just want the shared experience of it. Anything. I would be sad if they went, but i wouldn’t be confused or mad at someone for it. If they don’t go i support them, if they do i support them. Itd be nice if they got to be exempt, but in general we dont know what they want.
