I appreciate that they adressed it, but I would've liked to hear a true, more direct apology. Oh well, we got what we got 💜 On the other hand, the fans overreacting, throwing tantrums and sending death threats are just proving these types of jokes. I would've also liked to hear BTS apologize on behalf of the fandom, specifically those who acted out of line.

Some ARMYs believe that he was trying to criticise BTS' fanbase, and some believe it was a sarcasm type of joke. The video where he said these things is already deleted, but I think there might be some ARMYs who has saved the video.

This was discussed before the show, of course, Namjoon only mentioned it, so that James can explain himself & stop the hate. I appreciate that they adressed it, but I would've liked to hear a true, more direct apology. Oh well, we got what we got 💜 On the other hand, the fans overreacting, throwing tantrums and sending death threats are just proving these types of jokes. I would've also liked to hear BTS apologize on behalf of the fandom, specifically those who acted out of line.

@@alexxyshin1073 he SINCERELY said he wasn't apologising. this man is so real. he didn't need to apologise. most of our fandom (which is amazing most of the time) are teenage girls. it's just facts. if people don't know how big of a heart James has, then don't assume his intentions. he has made family friendly comedy in the least harmful way for years now. i am glad he spoke about the death threats here - I would have liked to hear BTS telling army to please stop that.

Not to diminish Namjoon’s leadership, but this would’ve been talked about in the show’s pre-interview. Corden’s a slimeball who undeniably wanted BTS to give him the chance to apologize just to salvage his own image and inflate his ego again. Corden only cares to the extent that he wants to maintain his “I’m a happy-go-lucky nice guy” when he’s actually a douche who doesn’t give a crap that he belittled teen girls/young women and BTS.
