This is why communication is important. While Chief has a sad story and grew up in a suffocating environment, he should have approached Chimmy and TALKED to him. Not only he'll get to have a friend, but also Chimmy won't have to suffer for that long (as we saw in Chimmy's story before). Chief's only mistake is making up an image/a story in his mind about Chimmy, and when it didn't come true, he started hating Chimmy for it. Chimmy did nothing wrong: he was looking for someone to listen, and Tata gave him exactly that. Tata walked up to Chimmy (or flew?) and actively "communicated" with him. And Chimmy took that opportunity of having a friend for the first time. Ahem, sorry for the long comment. I look forward to the next episodes ^_^

I agree with your analysis!! I also think Chief didn’t know how to approach Chimmy properly since he lived in that type of environment. While for chimmy was easy to become friends with Tata, Chief grew up surrounded by people who didn’t care about him. It’s really amazing how they manage to get so deep in a 3 min video

What happened to chief was sad indeed. But it was his own selfishness and entitlement to Chimmy’s friendship all to himself that made him decide to go against BT21. Chimmy had no idea that Chief existed, they just knew they kept getting good fortune and didn’t know where it was coming from. And just because they met Tata doesn’t mean a friendship with Chief was off the table, but for whatever reason Chief thought “no one else can have them but me” like Chimmy owed him (again despite not having shown his existence to them at all). Which they don’t. I’ve seen actual people who are like this in real life. And people overlook what happened in their past because what they ended up doing out of entitlement is terrifying. There’s always news stories of girls getting harmed because they rejected some dude they didn’t even know existed. Or someone who only did nice things to force a relationship but got mad when they found out that forcing it never works. Or in a more bts related case, fans who stanned them when they were less popular but abandoned them when they broke into the mainstream and started gaining new fans and new friends and opportunities. All Chief needed was proper communication and acceptance that Chimmy is their own person. Hopefully someday he finds that and makes healthy friendships

tata's only a villain in chief's mind but the fact of the matter is that chimmy doesn't owe chief anything in the first place, he didn't even know chief existed. chimmy spent years growing up alone and homeless when chief could have taken the chances to befriend him for many years but he didn't, then he turns bitter because he felt entitled to chimmy's friendship when it's 'too late'. so personally, chimmy is only 'lucky' after tata found him because that's what he always want, a friend and tata is willing to take the chance to be his friend. also chief could have just befriend chimmy and tata but the fact that he turns to AT21 makes me think he doesn't really want chimmy's friendship for the sake of wanting to get to know chimmy better and be chimmy's friend, but rather because he felt like jimin owe him that friendship or he's just weirdly possessive since he saw himself in chimmy (whether it's accurate or not). chimmy had a hard life so he deserves a friend who cares and willing to befriend him without expecting anything from him.

Does anyone else interpret this story in a way that CHIEF is like a delusional fan? They have a complex relationship with Chimmy without them knowing anything about it.This onesided relationship turns into hostility when their expectations and projections are not met. Just like some fans or fansites think they are entitled to BTS because they buy their content and support the band. And then get angry when BTS don't act that way, they imagine it in their head.

Everyone is talking about how cute chimmy but no-one is talking about how chief's background story is as sad as Chimmy's. They just wanted a friend and they felt sad that thier last possible friend too now taken. It is hurting me deeply that they choose hate's ways but tbh. I think emotions in this animation are more important than anything and should catch someone's eyes first.

Chief’s story is sad but also a learning lesson: If u don’t make your feelings known, that’s your own responsibility. Even if u make it known AND u get your feelings rejected, it’s NOT a justified reason or excuse to hate on that person. Poor Chimmy. That’s why Chief’s background may be sad but his actions are still wrong with his irrational n hateful response. Such a pity. I hope one day he will learn from his mistakes and make peace with himself about Chimmy.
