‘BSP, Mayawati losing relevance’: RS Praveen Kumar on anti-caste movement | What's your ism?

RS Praveen Kumar, a former IPS officer, who had quit the civil services to join the Bahujan Samaj Party, has once again taken a u-turn. Last month, the popular Ambedkarite jumped to the BRS - a party he had earlier described as “casteist” and “feudal”. So what triggered this shift? What are his views on the anti-caste movement?
In this episode of What’s Your Ism, Kumar spoke to The News Minute’s Sudipto Mondal about the relevance of BSP and Mayawati, how he reconciles his anti-caste ideology with the BRS, and the Ambedkarite movement in India.
“Bahujan Samaj Party is becoming less and less relevant,” says the former IPS officer, adding that things “have changed dramatically”. He also challenges the notion that the BRS is a party of Velama caste landlords.
The bureaucrat-turned-politician talks about the initiatives under his non-profit educational organisation SWAERO, dynamics of Ambedkarite politics, and what happened with the BSP.

Good he left bahujan samajwadi party every bahujan should stand behind only few party like DMK,BRS,RJD,SP,JDU,Pawar that's it. all the party mentioned are strong obc sc st party they have volunteers who are not affraid to fight. And every obc should focus on creating big wealth and capturing industries and building new businesss never sell your land because brahminwadi bjp want to capture land of obc community and give it to business houses.

The Bahujans are used by their own people. Once someone becomes leader that person sells the cause of the community for self interest. Paswan and many are such examples. Moreover, they are so much deprived of social acceptance by upper class people, that the moment they are allowed to just sit among the upper caste people, the leader / upcoming bahujan will sell off oneself. We find very few leaders who are selfless like Praveen Kumar.

Kudos to all the Ambedkarites!! Mayawati might have seen many Bureaucrats but not the RSP kind of Cop who left his service 6 years before and committed to the Bahujan Ideology for Bahujan Politics. She is our inspiration and she will be. However if she cannot protect persons like him to thrive in bahujan politics, it is high time to shut our doors. If RSP wanted money and power he would have joined BRS earlier. Definitely Mayavati garu has more political experience than RSP but how is it relevant now, how is it benefitting the communities and how is going to help the Young Ambedkarites?

Reasons why you cant defeat bjp :- 1) they play caste equation very well . I mean look at their top positions , they have sc , st , obc , thakur , bhramin . Everyone has representation. 2) they don't deflect from their ideology (hindutva ) . While cangress has no ideology . 3) they never support forces which create north south divide . While cangress follows dmk . 4) BJP is clear I am amar but akbar and Anthony are my friends . Cangress I am everything amar akbar everything. 5) infrastructural growth is a reality even if you are an anti BJP voter, you will have to agree . 6) dissent voices like snehla rashid are now praising pm modi . This shows a lot that BJP has actually achieved integration to some extent . 7) if cangress loses this election believe me they are not coming in power till the 2047
