zykzyk85 that is very true normal toners have problems with a live switch for sure. Lots of noise on the line this works great in that situation

I’m absolutely JAZZED about this. Old comment, I know, but all that way into 2024, it’s still a problem. My current toner hates active POE digital networks. This is gonna save me a ton of guesswork.

Can you test just one Single Wire at a time? Such as using it in an Automotive situation or for Trailer-Camper wire mapping after someone else has made a bunch of splices and re-wiring?

Hi, Does anyone know where I might get a Pro 200 Toner repaired? I bought one off ebay, it worked but I put it on a cable that runs by a motor and its now stopped working (battery is good). If set the probe to analogue mode and hold it inside the RJ45 port of the toner I can hear it beeping lightly in all the different settings. (except ohms, that just hums).

4:10 which pins is he connecting the alligator clips to? That looks to be a cat5? Thanks for your help!

HOLA HECTOR, cuql es la diferencia entre el generador de tonos de este video y el que tieenes tienes? En este veo que tiene 4 iconos amarillos con luces al lado izquierdo del selector y el tuyo tiene 2 .

Does anyone know where (or a part number) for the RJ45 breakout cable to alligator clips, RJ11 and CAT5?

Where could I find the rj45 and rj11 alligator test leads? Could I simply build my own or is it easier to buy replacement ones?

does the toner produce audio in speakers?

wish it worked like the manual. goind to service mode does nothing; no lights anywhere. but tried it on working cables, test cables. all the same.; Service does nothing.

Black Sheep if one wire in the cable is broken 20 feet from the tone generator you will still hear tone at the end of both wires tested Which means tone SIGNAL is induced in the bad wire from the good one Which means THIS TOOL IS USELESS IN FINDING BAD CABLE ITS ONLY USED TO TRACE WIRES

very bad audio. I couldn't hear what he was saying.
