BSL 102 Conversation Practise-Describing people, family and objects.
In this video I will help with your 102 Conversation exam. The first topic is describing people, animals and objects. I will give you examples and also some questions you can prehaps ask. Hopefully it will help even if you're not taking the exam at the moment. I have lots of videos for all different signing abilities so please have a look. Thank you for your time and please subscribe. mel xx

I really find these videos a great help. The speed/level is above my current ability, but they use enough signs that I'm familiar with to help me develop.

Thank you. Got my 102 exam coming up and even though our teacher is a gem the paperwork he gives out isn't great and he whizzes through everything maybe twice and expects us to remember it all!!

Hi do you offer one to one tutoring?
Curious about different bsl signs for toilet and live. Are they regional North South?
I have stumbled across your channel when trying to learn how to sign and I’m just struggling finding out if there is a certain hand you use most it looks like it’s right but I’m not sure and don’t know which variation of a sign to use I know basics like alphabet numbers colours animals and a few words but I would know how to do random words. I’m learning because I’m 16 and thinks it’s a great way to expand communication skill and I work in a place where a deaf visitor could come in And it would be great if I knew how to string a sentence. Would you think about doing videos of just word with sound? Thank you

Hi Anna that's great you're learning especially when you're young because you will pick it up quicker. I am right handed so it's a bit like writing, I lead my signing with my right hand. With signing BSL its very difficult to talk and sign at the same time because it's in a totally different order. Sometimes there isn't the equivalent word in English to match the sign either. BSL is a bit like painting a picture, it's very descriptive and uses a lot of facial expressions which is part of the language, for example just by raising the eyebrows can change the meaning of a sign. It's a great language to learn and I know as a deaf person they really appreciate it when a person makes effort to learn even a little bit. On my playlist I have a lot of videos for new learners, the one on simple conversations would be helpful. It covers a lot of basic sentences. Also I do teach over Skype, my email is on my about page. I do hope you enjoy learning sign. There are lots of jobs out there for young people that can sign, like CSW or interpreters. Mel 😃

Kashmir Bhuttay there’s three little vertical dots at the top right of the screen, if you press on that it will give you the option to chose subtitles.
