BSA B25 Starfire, one more ride with new air filter and correct main jet fitted.
Just to make sure all was well with an air filter in place, as well as the correct 240 main jet [190 also listed for some], rather than the 'nearest I had', which had been a 260. My Son also gave the bike a clean and it seems quite happy with life.

My first bike in the 60s !
And now it goes as well as it looks. They are a nice looking little bike, it has to be said. Even better after a visit to performance classics! Great video, thanks Paul.

Thank you!
That was a very nice running example of a single BSA. Great job.
Listening to that engine I`m seventeen again, and riding to my girlfriends house on my Starfire that I bought new from Coburn and Hughs in 1971 for £275.

Ah , bought mine in the 60s from Coburn and Hughes ( Slow Burning Fuse.)
I’ve watched all the videos of this bike and what a transformation. It just proves you don’t need mega power to have fun. An excellent little bike, I’d have one for sure (not keen on the bars though). Well sorted and well done that man👍🏻.
Nice to hear from an appreciative owner. All manner of road users on that ride.
Hi Paul when you go through an old bike it just gets better, we had some good bikes in the day and this proves it Well Done
Nice work Paul. The power of perseverance.
Good job Paul to get her back how she should be. Better with the air cleaner. I'm impressed with the tickover and the restart without throttle. I put the cast iron oil pump in mine, it was £14 from Jack Bottomley in 1972 when I was on £9 a week. Oil change every thousand miles.Third is a great gear but don't take it past 6500 rpm it knocks out the mains, especially the ball race on the timing side. Sorry for the reminiscing Paul but I miss SRJ560H.
You are going through the bikes today Paul...a great feeling to finish these projects up...and I’m sure the owners will be thrilled...
It would be great to get some owners reaction to their bikes being transformed by your careful TLC.

Thanks Hugh, looks like your wish has been granted! It is always nice, but quite rare to get owner feedback.
You need never to apologize for anything. We are so grateful for what you do!
After getting my B25 back from you today, I had a fabulous ride out on it. It runs miles better than it ever did since I bought it in the mid-'80s, and it looks great, too! Fantastic job, thanks very much again - and good luck with my B44...

Thanks very much for the feedback, James, glad you are happy with it, you have a great little BSA there!
The bike now sounds sweet like it should. Another excellent video on some of the best roads in Britain.I wish you were just down the road from where I live.
That's a handsome looking bike and very useable from the sound of it, the kind that encourages you to take the long way home
I had to go to 260 mj when I skimmed the 441 head to 12-1 or so comp and added the side draft manifold. Looks right proper Paul! When I was 16 I got a B50 that had raced at Mosport in Ontario and after getting the lights etc on it and plate I hit street car track in rain and split the Dunstall tank open. After that I always used the steel Firebird scrambler tanks. Glad I learned that in the rain no fire occurred. I just widened a Rickmann steel tank for a B44 Bull De Or B50 replica LOL!
Running like a champ, well done.
Another job well done. Bike looks and sounds lovely. Great video Paul.
Good job Paul. Sounds lovely.

Thats a sweet sounding starfire i was lucky to have a good reliable one myself.Orange 71 reg.
Its lovely bike. Realy like the crome oil tank
Yes, it is a fun bike to ride I'm pretty sure!
Beautiful....
Brit bike at its best.Lovely.
Just thinking, With the quite "chunky" tyres and trials exhaust with raised handlebars might it be geared a bit lower for off road work? Just a thought, Cracking little bike, this and the 250 Enfield Continental gt were the two most sought after learner bikes when I was a lad!
What was the temp there.
What exhaust is that? This is exactly what I'm looking to do with my 69 Starfire

I think it is just one of the trials / scrambles types as seen on some off road BSA unit singles. Burton Bike Bits would be a good place to ask for one.
Paul how much would that little bike be worth?!
