Bryant's First White Bass!
Took my grandson out fishing on a boat for the first time in his life. I knew where some white bass was stacked in the water column staging for their spawning season. The water temp was 70 degrees. The white bass was hanging out approximately 6 foot below the water surface in 11-13 foot of water. We used a Mepps Rooster Tail spinner that they really liked and would smack hard. We would troll approximately 1.5 mph which seemed to be the right speed.

Ha ha when I was his age huge schools roamed the western basin of Erie. When birds were swarming and water boiling it was crazy White bass fishing. When you found them in the shallows around the Islands you could catch until you could reel no more.
