What an incredible job on this classic 80's Phil Collins ballad! Not an easy song to sing and even harder to pull it off convincingly, but you did it. Go Bryan!

I am so glad he picked this song to show his different side, way to go! He and Josh Sanders are still my favorite, they are real men. Bryan's voice is so touching, soulful, powerful, and amazing! I wish him the best! 👍🤩🙏

I requested threw voice app for Josh to sing kip Moore and Tae if he survives Darius Rucker Bryan I wanna see him sing the one and only Elvis being I can't help falling in love with u I do see Bryan as vocally good nough to cover that in his own way of course and being able to win doing so I like this toned back Bryan better I also requested Nathan to sing yeah by usher bc he has that party own stage for me vibe and he could kill ushers yeah in maybe the results in the finals for a fun ending in fact I could see him and John and Bryan covering that song together in finals and if ushers avaliable have him sing with them as well that song fits John's entire team so well

@@jamesAGarfield608 I watched Tae sing the song of LoneStar. It started out well, but unfortunately the pitch was off at the end. For a country music lover, I can only give him a pass! Sorry, I have to say out the truth.

He gave us what we needed, a heartfelt Rock ballad, tapping into that emotion, taking his time on the melody, vulnerable & unadorned. He sounded good, natural, sincere.

He may be the oldest person in the competition and the most experienced, but he’s also I think one of the most talented singers this season! That was a great choice of song for him!

Bryan keeping it very simple and yet absolutely riveting, with this 80’s classic song.

What a bold song to choose from Sir Collins, and Bryan gave it a proper vocal by keeping it a ballad, and with a few tweaks from the original, he made it his. From his audition, I had him pegged for the finale; I believe there is a spot for him. I wish all of the artists, at this stage of the game, could, at least, sing 2 songs.

@@jamesAGarfield608, I’m a little worried about whether or not Bryan will be in the final 5. I hope he makes it; he deserves to be there. I’m not sure if “Against All Odds” was the right choice. I do like that he sang such a beautiful ballad, and that’s what America was basically asking him to do, so he did. It’s melodic and all, but at this stage of the game, he might’ve taken a chance at singing a melodic song that allows him to be really rangy and blow the roof off, I mean several times so that when he’s finished there wouldn’t be a roof left. I’m curious as to what do you think about his taking a risk and singing a Patty Smyth song “The Warrior” and making it a male interpretation of a really melodic rock song. There would certainly be a lot of belting! Just a suggestion, since he can sing any song, especially rock, and sing the hell outta it, and make it his. Damn, I hope he’s in the finale. I did vote for Bryan, because I know that Asher will be there. My picks are: Bryan, Asher, Tae, Nathan and Karen. Wildcards: Maddi and Josh. I know I’ll probably get 2 or 3 right. It’s a close race. We’ll see tonight!

He is so consistent. He reminds me of a cross between Sting / David Bowie and represents such a timeless era of music that people STILL adore and wish we could hear more of these days! Love his style, his energy, his sincerity and his sound! Easy on the eyes too!

I’ve been thinking about this song the last couple days?!?! I’m so happy right now. It’s my favorite Phil Collin’s song😭! Bryan was completely connected to the lyrics that I couldn’t take my eyes off of him! It was a great performance! Seeing him in this tamed down performance really let me see a different side of him and those vocal are great!

Growing up with 3 brothers during the 90’s, this is one of the song that’s always in the background. My favorite performance of the night! Simple and beautiful. ❤

He just sang one of my favorite songs from Phil Collins. Not many would try to sing this song, as there's only one Phil Collins, and no one on this planet has his special voice. However, If I had never heard Phil sing, I really like how Bryan delivered and commend this guy who had the guts to sing his heart out to this song. Kudos to you!!

I think that he did great. I was able to emotionally connect and feel. He did great in building up his voice. He didn't over do things.

Bravo. I love that song so I can be such a tough critic of anyone who tries to cover it but he did that song justice. Sang with passion and grit.

Loved it! Bryan has a unique sound that is quite rare to hear these days (like a Rihanna quality-no need for over kill)..that's what we love! Maybe a Coldplay (Sky...stars) or a Ryan Tether song?....with effortless deviations at the end or elsewhere...

I agree something was off

When I heard Bryan was going to do a Phil Collins song I was a little afraid he wouldn’t do it justice. Phil Collins is my all time favourite , but I have to say he did it like a seasoned performer. He wasn’t my pick for the Voice, but he just moved up a notch for me. Well done Bryan!

I’m only watching this on KZread because as a resident of Lincoln, NE who has seen Bryan perform live with VOTA in the park for a church event, I also follow him on Instagram and saw his post about The Voice. I’m proud of the job he is doing and hope he wins! It’s hard to match the stellar level of Phil Collins on that song, but Bryan did a fantastic performance that very few could outdo.

Good job but i think this song choice might not save him. He & Nathan did a powerful duet with Rolling in the Deep...which was awesome! He is one of my favs tho.

Some of the high parts of the song, mainly in the chorus, is probably the only thing that might cost him a chance to be in the finale…I think his voice was straining very slightly during that time

I liked the direction but something was missing for me. I think I was expecting for him to go a bit higher on those notes. It just seemed a bit safe for me

Agreed. I think he was at his best in the Blinds and battles. He did fantastic in the playoffs but his song choice was still not right. He needs better song choices and needs to bring more energy. I think he would do better with an uptempo fun song. He's usually so comfortable. I wonder if being a Playoff Pass is putting him into a lot of stress or something. I noticed nerves.

I heard him sing ‘Don’t Stop Believin’ once at a small concert, like 15 years ago. Killed it. Would be a great choice for the finale if he gets there. I feel like he peaked with ‘Africa,’ and his voice has felt more strained the last two performances. Wonder if he’s over rehearsing. Really hope he makes the final!!!

Bryan knows who he is and what lane he wants. Having come from the Newsboys, he’s the whole package.

He did a far better job on this song than I expected and had him pegged for the win this season until the very gifted Asher came along with the "voice of an angel" and think Asher deserves the win based on talent, but with Brian who is already a very well loved pro, he has a huge fan base who will be voting for him so Bryan may be the winner even without the "voice of angel".

I'm going to give a little deal to bryan olesen to predict the winner this season, because I also took into account that there might be a split vote since there are 2 country artists and 2 black artists.

Doesn’t his voice bio say something about a difficult divorce recently? So sad, I feel like this man was blindsided and this song is him reaching out to her one last time. 😢😢. Over 20 years and 3 kids and building a whole life together from your youth…he still seems heartbroken. I hope she responds to what clearly seems to be a serenade for her.

Ok. I like Bryan Oleson. But it was his first 2 performances that were the best because of his energy and dynamics. What I mean is, he ROCKED. After that I wanted him to win. I thought he blew everyone away. But then John Legend gave him such poor songs for his voice. A boring ballad and a Queen song that is not in most people’s ranges, no shade on Bryan. This Phil Collins song is a boring old chestnut that Bryan performed well, but If he gets through, he needs to do something fiery like Where the Streets Have no Name. A major opportunity was missed. If he had rocked out this week there would be no doubt about him going through.

Great Bryan. Like it better than you popping a guitar on at the last minute that you can't even hear.
