So many people misunderstand what Bryan is trying to do. They want to fight his findings and conclusions about aging without any evidence of their own. I respect how methodical he is with his thinking and speaking and also with research. We need more Bryan's to push forward various fields of science and research.

He’s afraid to die while he isn’t living. He’s a scardy cat and claims to do it for others. Na, I don’t buy it. I’m sure he means well but I think he do better being more happy and living more. He can still do it in a healthy way. Social live and happiness are way more important than being a control freak and try to control every aspect of life. He works with flawed data and with scientists that make a lot of money off of him. Especially veganism is absolutely NOT a longevity diet. All blue zones consume meat. Veggies and fruits are man made and absolutely unnatural. He looks very ill. Looks are NOT deceiving. You can look healthy and be sick but looking sickly but believing you’re healthy is delusional in my opinion.

Agreed. Bryan doesn't tell people what they should or shouldn't do. He merely shares his data and protocol. Interestingly in long form vblogs, Bryan actually shows is intelligent humour and honest compassion towards others. It doesn't often come across in Q&A videos, articles etc Even in the face of online nasty comments, Bryan stays composed. It's refreshing actually.

My husband's aunt lived to be 101 and she had an amazing sense of humor, led a very active social life, spent a lot of time in nature, walked uphill 2 miles everyday, then back down (PA hills), ate a lot of her family farm meat, raw milk, chicken, eggs, homemade soups, and plenty of butter. She had great cognitive function and walked to the end of her beautiful life.

I just love LOVE hearing amazing and beautiful life stories such as your dear Aunt💗 . My dear Grandma Mary (my husband's Grandma) just turned 100 years old on April 7, 2024. She did not and still does not do anything mentioned in our "bio-hacking circles." She lives on whole foods (being of 100% Italian decent), enjoys the sunshine, loves her family, socializes regularly with lots of laughs and is full of quick wit. She walks and moves throughout her day living independently in her home of over 80 years...100% cognitively intact---still doing her own laundry up and down the stairs and cooking. No health issues (other than macular degeneration). She is just AMAZING! 🌟

I once did a study on centenarians. These are people that routinely lived well into their 100's. I was trying to find common denominators between these groups of people. It was pretty simple. They all had very active social lives and stayed active in their communities. They laughed and danced as much as possible and had zero stress.. They ate very little calories but what they did eat was nutrient dense. They didn't have automobiles and they walked a fair bit every day to get fresh food. I think Bryan is going to deter people from longevity practices because he makes them look daunting. Following even half of his routine would stress people out to the point that the stress would disrupt the longevity. I think the key that I found in my studies is to just live your life as stress free as possible and love hard. Most people would choose a shorter life versus a longer life that requires you to check all these boxes every day.

Therefore don’t over eat, walk more, be active, be kind, and make yourself happy and occupied by nice things in life.

‘Separate Bryans’ is a self-soothing technique. Parents soothe their children, by calming them so as adults we are supposed to be able to do it ourselves because we’ve learnt this. I also tell myself this is my time to sleep, these thoughts are for tomorrow, it calms my mind and I fall asleep.

Interesting at around 26:00 Bryan mentioned calcification of the pineal gland. I recently theorized that calcification of our body, especially the pineal gland, gives older people their slower movements, as if their bodies are becoming brittle. I've been looking at supplements to decalcify my body, such as vitamin K2, magnesium and an herb called chanca piedra (stone breaker). I also read an article about a recent breakthrough in Parkinson's where they used gold to decalcify the pineal gland. I found a colloidal gold that claims to decalcify the pineal gland and I plan to try these supplements for a while as a cleansing routine.

Here are the key points I gathered from the conversation between Brian Johnson and the interviewer about Brian's health optimization protocol: 1. Brian's daily diet consists of a super veggie breakfast (broccoli, cauliflower, lentils, hemp seeds, garlic, ginger), a nutty pudding lunch (macadamia nuts, walnuts, flax seed, sunflower, pomegranate juice, berries, pea protein), and a dinner of berries, nuts and seeds. He also consumes 45ml of extra virgin olive oil per day. 2. He eats all his meals within a compressed eating window, finishing by 11am. This helps optimize his sleep by lowering his resting heart rate before bed. 3. He aims to consume 60-100 ounces of water per day, all before 4pm and mineralized with tea or electrolytes to aid absorption. 4. The most impactful things for longevity according to Brian are: not smoking, exercise (6hrs/week), a Mediterranean-style diet, BMI of 18.5-22.5, moderate to zero alcohol, and good sleep. 5. For light exposure, he gets 10,000 lux when he wakes up before sunrise. He blocks blue light on devices and does red/infrared light therapy 3x/week for 12 mins. 6. He eagerly acknowledges what he doesn't know regarding health markers. Some settled science is around blood glucose, inflammation, WBCs, RBCs. Cholesterol is still debated. 7. Sleep optimization has been a big focus. Sleep onset under 4 mins and wake after sleep onset under 30 mins are considered good age markers. Pineal gland calcification may impair sleep with age. 8. His supplement stack has decreased from 111 to around 42 as he started manufacturing his own for quality control. Extra virgin olive oil stands out as most beneficial in his view. 9. He aims to provide a clear example of his health protocol, not claiming it's the best, but a stable starting point that puts many of his biomarkers in the top percentiles for 18-year-olds. In summary, the conversation provides an inside look at the comprehensive yet accessible health optimization approach Brian has taken, combining nutrition, supplementation, exercise, sleep, and precise measurement to improve his healthspan and lifespan.

I have to say I was biased against Bryan going into this video, because of what I'd heard and read on the internet when he went viral a while ago, and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. I don't necessarily agree with everything he said of course, but he does seem like a nice and intellectually honest person. He actually thinks about what he is going to say before saying it, and not just spews word vomit and science jargon. And even if n=1 and some stuff is questionable, the fact he is trying all these different things on himself to try and push knowledge and technology further is pretty amazing, when he could just hoard his wealth or spend it on dumb stuff like a lot of other ultra wealthy people. An interesting conversation, thanks for bringing it to us Thomas.

I would like to see some follow up with his team on those key measurements you mentioned. Personally, I think he needs to induce more stressors and then measure adaptations. Start with full sun exposure. Everything clicks better for me when I get 45 min full sun. Bryan's endorsement of EVO has me remembering how good an extra tablespoon here and there makes me feel.

As far as Thomas asking why a retired person would have a harder time falling asleep, or what they would be stressed about he's going off of a retired person who kives in a nice home that is paid off, and doesn't have to worry about money, but someone as my parents whom are kiving off of one income, don't have great health, and taking care if ny elderly grandmother on top of many things is very stressful. My mother if she's lucky gets 3 ir 4 hours if sleep, I can naturally get 3 or 4 hrs of sleep. I sleep more when I take melatonin and muscle relaxers. I always wake up to use the restroom, so everything Bryan is saying is very interesting and something I'd like to try. Thomas needs to take into consideration that sometimes too much time to think can be very stressful on the body. So I hope he comes actoss this comment and realize being retired at a certain age doesn't mean less stress, it could do the opposite, too much time on your hands to think could be a recipe for over thinking, over analyzing which causes stress, and can affect sleep. My 91 year old grandmother has both Alzheimer's and dementia. I don't know why people from her Era make it to or past 100, and it isn't definitely from eating all the things Bryan eats, though growing up Hispanic/Mexican we always ate a lot of fruit and vegetables. Snacked on nuts, seeds, beans, and tortillas. Everyone is different, and mental illness doesn't help either.

Energy from the sun is so important, way more important than doing a bit of damage to the skin. Then he talks about hydration and refers to water, what about hydration from fruit/juices? Remove every vice, remove all going out, eating out, every coffee, or snack, and factor in this covers your entire grocery budget and it gets slightly more feasible. I get your point, but average groceries for 1 person in America in a big city is easily $400 a month unless you're on a bar bones budget. Add up every single vice, drink, snack, consumption, that's another few hundred depending on your choices. If you make the average income for America then the difference between 1500 and whatever you would spend anyway isn't that enormous.
