During my first year of secondary school I remember momentarily bonding with a fellow pupil with whom I had absolutely no other affinity, when we discovered that we were both Bryan Ferry fans and found him 'so sexy'. Nearly 40 years later, I'm still listening to his masterpieces over and over. And hope to be still able to for another few decades!

This song could so easily have been written at the height of Roxy fame. When Bryan sings a song of loss or longing no-one can get near him, his voice carries the feeling of hurt and almost despair. Spine tingling. And that piano.......beautiful.

As I recall reading, some of the Olympia material was the product of an attempted Roxy Music revival album. So this all makes sense.
