This is the BEST song, the rhythm is great along with the fast pace....I never tire of listening to it.....keep on going.......and its on repeat.....again and again...

One of the great songs of the 1980s---the last decade where America had truly great music. "Run to You" was a true driving song---like "Broken Wings," "Dance Hall Days" and "Drive." And there are others to be sure. This brings back good memories.

So true!@@turbod8035 Much of it seems more like gam chick music. There is a gravitas missing. But you can occasionally find something truly good these days. There seems to be a lack of originality or uniqueness in most of the music today. It is interesting in that you can identify each decade's music from the 1940s up into the 1990s, after that much of it is not very distinct.

Thanks for posting this classic. I saw Bryan and his band supporting Tina Turner at London's Wembley Arena back in 1985. Tina, of course, was absolutely magnificent. Not many people had heard of this Canadian guy called Bryan Adams, although he'd just released his first album. He and his band played Run To You, Summer of '69 and other tracks from their debut album. The audience went crazy! I remember thinking to myself he was going to be around for a very long time!

First time I heard them I thought they were remastered with some added studio outages. Sounds that much like the original. Then I read that he doesn’t have the rights to his music. Like many artists are doing he re-recorded them. In his case they are amazing re-recordings. The best redos that were 40 ish years old for some.

@@mabelmarotta4569 I imagine it's like the case with Taylor Swift having to re-record all her albums? I think the studios only own the "original masters", but if you re-record them on your own dime using your own studio and gear, etc, then you own the new recording. At least that's how I see it.
