Written by Bryan Adams and Jim Vallance
Recorded by Rob Nevalainen
Mixed by Hayden Watson
Directed by Dick Carruthers and BA
Produced by Jeremy Azis
Drivin’ home this evening
I coulda sworn we had it all worked out
You had this boy believin'
Way beyond the shadow of a doubt
Then I heard it on the street
I heard you mighta found somebody new
Well who is he baby - who is he
And tell me what he means to you
I took it all for granted
But how was I to know
That you’d be letting go
Now it cuts like a knife - but it feels so right
It cuts like a knife - but it feels so right
There's times I've bin mistaken
There's times I thought I'd bin misunderstood
So wait a minute darlin'
Can't you see we did the best we could
This wouldn't be the first time
Things have gone astray
Now you’ve thrown it all away
Now it cuts like a knife - but it feels so right
It cuts like a knife - but it feels so right

@@BryanAdamslive I first experienced the music in 1984 while mining gold for 8 years on the Bonanza Creek just outside of Dawson City, YTC. As an American, I was privileged to be introduced to an abundance of brilliant Canadian songwriters and performers during that time. Bryan Adams, April Wine, Heart, Rush, Triumph, The Guess Who, BTO, Loverboy and The Band just to name a few. And I still listen to them all to this very day! At 63 years old, I am currently living in Puyallup Washington and actively dying of Kidney Disease, but I still hope to get a few more live performances of some of these greats under my belt before I go that wonderful place where the music never stops! I am quite sure I will meet some dear friends there that I have never met before but have been invisibly connected to through their music my whole life! They are the color in the painting of my life!
This man, his voice and his music was all my childhood was about. My late Dad loved him to the tee. Still remember the long drives with Dad along the countryside whilst listening to "Run to you", and many other of Bryan Adam's numbers. Thank you for being the legend you are, and for making every song so memorable, Bryan. RIP Dad, love you!

The overspill of the drums in the other mics is like whipped cream on a hot chocolate. Thank you for the inspiration.
That bass keeps it rolling so fine.
Still now, I feel so good fantastic amazing
Wow, to do anything and have it sound so great 40 years later is amazing ... the fact that you've got Keith Scott still there right beside Bryan is an even rarer thing in the music business.
Hey Bryan! Your songs are very special and amazing! ❤❤❤❤ You are my favorite singer! Your band is spetacular too!
What is so admirable about all of this is that these men are in their 60s, and all of them play as if they were still 23 years old, as soon as they put their instruments on. That's the great thing about being a musician - it will always give you love and passion no matter what. As soon as they start to play, at their age, they begin to time travel backward immediately. These guys are absolutely great.
