My buddy Eric has a mk2 making 700awhp, he spent 2 months working on this thing everyday. He was on the highway doing one of his first pulls after the final tune. I was behind following him, he took off and the car seemed to be running amazingly. The one thing he skimped out on was the brakes, he was using standard rotors with ceramic brakes. He had to brake quickly at the end of his pull and when he got down to about 50mph, his front brakes exploded. Luckily him and his car came out okay, he switch to vdb all around. Moral of the story, don't skimp on brakes.

@@safersisic9562 this exactly how you measure 100-200. You don't want to measure the throttle delay, turbo spool time or gas latency... You Want to measure as consistent and comparable to other vehicles as possible. What you mean is elasticity, this isn't measured here though.

thats not really that special, the way it gets to 100 and what happends after is though. decent fast cars all get 80/90 in first gear with 1000 hp less.

He probably put a lot of Money into this, can't imagine how much upkeep is, really insane work of mechanics and also old German engineering.

Can you floor it with this setup? How much throttle was used on your straight runs?

Damn... What compression ratio are you running with that kinda boost?

Did u change the wheel drive on this car? Coz if I remember rightly, these were front wheel drive when they came out so I'm assuming you've changed it to rear?

really impressive! here in germany we have a car event called German Racewars that happens twice a year and its mainly 1/4 mile racing. among the many participants there were also several golfs that set best times every year. don't let me lie but i seem to remember last time when 2 golfs drove a 7.2 and 7.4 sec. both had similar build and were between 1.000 and 1.200 hp.

no Golf on the world have 7.2s. the quickest is 7.6 with 2x VR6 Turbo and over 1600hp on a professionell glued track. German Racewars is a air field with no traction. Maybe high 8s numbers

What happens when inevitable fluid drop / mechanical failure happens in the deep end and goes sideways into the grass at 250kmh with no roll cage? I know its a street car but you gotta draw the line somewhere and not worth dying over the weight of a cage.

+vivalaphill ist das echt nur eine 2l Maschiene oder war das nur die Angabe für den Serienmotor? Falls ja wie kann es sein das Pleuel nicht verbiegt/ bricht oder ähnliches?

DeadCry1000 bessere und stärke Bauteile, leichtere Kolben, stärkere Pleuel, feingewuchtete Kurbelwelle und so weiter und so fort und ja das ist ein 2 liter vier Zylinder reihen Motor

Ist ja Wahnsinn! Da soll nochmal einer sagen Hubraum ist durch nichts zu ersetzen^^ Von so einem Auto will ich nicht mal angerämpelt werden als Fußgänger. Stärker als ein fucking Bulle.
