Brussels tram & pre-metro system is part of the extensive network of public transport in Brussels. Some sections have a future potential to be converted into a metro line - they are known as a Brussels premetro. In second part of the video, such footage is taken at several such locations, like Lemonnier and others (Brussels premetro line 3,4). Operated by STIB Brussels. This Brussels tramway footage video has been filmed in June 2014.

Near the basilica? The North-West is a great area - I'm fond if it.
Rather a shame that Brussels, since the 1960s, has dismantled almost its entire tram system in favour of a grotesquely expensive pseudo-metro

Pardon? Brussels dismantled a part of its tram lines in the 1960s, that's true, but it's by no means "almost its entire tram system". I was a frequent visitor to the Belgian capital as early as the 1980s and there were still many tram lines. In spite of what was taken out in the 60s and 70s, Brussels always retained a sizeable part of its tram system.
