Holy shit what on earth... I remember watching this video and being fascinated by how Bruno added to the song bit by bit. I never noticed the mute serial killer stalking his prey from a few short feet away.

Ya'll worked hard but putting down your Co worker who works just as hard or harder than you do just for a recognition ain't right

Bruno Mars can play the ukulele, guitar, piano, keyboard, and drums. He’s also an impressive vocalist, songwriter, and trained dancer. He’s work with the same core-group of artists (the Smeezingtons) he co-created back in 2009. Each member knew how to play multiple instruments and dance.

Be it different microphones, keyboards, synths, etc. They don't exclusively produce, they mostly improve/assist with the sound. They probably _can_ but it's not their job (don't quote me on it). The producer does the music part of the song, adding instruments, layerings etc while the audio engineer focus balancing the track made by the producer making sure the big and small elements blend well together and a lot more work to make it sound good. The engineers should receive some credit for the song, a word about what he made in the piece maybe, but he is not the show man, no one cares, or at least, not the media and general public. Maybe ppl on the commets are just realizing there's more to the music than "magic dust" and charisma, you know? And then people always tend to exaggerate, and sentimentalize... and we got the comments. The thing is that is extremelly common in all sort of things: movies, animation, softwares... everything with complexity demands people with high technical knowledge, besides the guy who makes it happen. His music just makes you feel good, it’s that simple in my book. Not the biggest fan in the world but if a Bruno Mars song doesn’t make you smile there’s something wrong with you!

In fact Bruno Mars has written and produced for many other artists (Adele, CeeLo Green, Alicia Keys, Mark Ronson, Anderson.Paak,…). Do people, who are complaining about that homicidal-looking guy "not getting credit”, ever give Bruno his credit or even recognise his work on other artists’ records? That guy is an audio engineer. Y’all think an audio engineer does most of the work and works harder than a producer? Lmao.

Most likely, they have been in the studio for over 12 hours and at the end had to do a 60 minutes interview and Bruno did a few lines of his own magic dust to be at camera ready while the other dude did not since he still had to go home to his family in an hour lol.

The only missing part in this is the sound engineer's close up shot with his blank expression staring directly at the camera and now you have a sitcom episode.

Knowing as many producers as I do, he’s probably just a perfectionist to the point that he looks like he’s never enjoying the mix bc “it could still be better”; also most producers love the process so much that anything else happening in the studio other than focused work feels like a distraction
