A more serious parody of Lewis Capaldi's Bruises portraying the misery of living with chronic sinusitis. Affecting around 12% of US adults, sinus problems lead to nasal congestion, drainage, pressure or pain, and many other symptoms that impact quality of life. Medications help, but are proven less effective than surgery at treating chronic sinusitis and improving quality of life.
Sinus procedures are performed by Otolaryngologists, or ENT surgeons, and Rhinologists are fellowship-trained ENT surgeons with additional expertise in these sinus-related procedures.
Don't spend years living in misery with chronic sinusitis. It can be treated successfully with appropriate surgery followed by ongoing management by an expert Rhinologist.
NOTE! Medicated rinses (portrayed in exaggerated fashion in this video) are often utilized to treat chronic sinusitis, and involve saline nasal irrigations with added medications such as steroid, antihistamine, and others. These are prescriptions provided by a physician, and should only be used as part of a coordinated treatment plan. That stated, any and all patients with allergies, nasal congestion, and sinus problems would benefit from routine nasal saline rinses (use distilled water!).
