I know right the Leafs are so predictable when Boston tied it up 1-1 in the third period almost right after Toronto made it 1-0 I knew the Leafs were going to lose when it went to overtime and they did. I actually believe that the Maple Leafs are cursed they probably won’t end up winning the Stanley cup for over 100 years. They won’t be winning it in my lifetime anyway.

Anyone who plays high level hockey knows that you have to hold up the offensive team entering your zone especially in OT. Marner again shows why he will never be on a Stanley Cup winning team. How can he honestly look at his teammates like Knies, Bertuzzi and Benoit who played their hearts out. You are only as good as your weakest link! Enough said!!!

Only reason Leafs can’t get over the hump is because they’ve had mediocre to lousy goaltending for the past ten years. Samsonov is not a good goalie he will never will be. He broke right away with game tying goal and stood there like a pylon when he had the chance to sweep that puck out of danger. Swayman has been the best player these playoffs so far If Boston has any chance against Florida he needs to keep it up You just have to wonder what’s next for the leafs, even when they play their best they still cannot win

can't believe leafs lost to such a weird way....im guessing Samsonov expected the puck to wrap around instead of bouncing back out to the middle of the ice? i wonder if it just took him by surprise and he wasn't able to react in time or did he expect the D-men to get to it first? it just seems like he froze and was caught off by the weird bounce. I wonder if he could have poke checked the puck? or is that too risky, it was such a bad bounce they got which led to the OT goal

SN has so many close-ups of LEAFS#44 that it makes me feel sick. Hedman and Josi also lack the quickness of play, but they have a High Hockey IQ that #44 doesn't have, and they often find gaps in their opponents and outwit them. This is a talent that an old, linear type like #44 cannot have for a lifetime.

Expect to see major organizational house-cleaning in Leafs-Land starting next week, with a lot of players also being shipped out or bought out this summer. The bottom line is that even if the Leafs managed to beat the Bruins in OT they would have been utterly destroyed by the Florida Panthers in the next round, so the team in its current form is simply not good enough to contend for the Stanley Cup anyway. A partial rebuild is badly needed in Toronto.

At least the Leafs fought back from 3-1 to OT in the final game. If they can land a better goalie, fine. But I don't see sweeping changes in the team or staff. Just fine tuning. And everything feels better without that Hall 'n Oats jingle.

This is why I stopped watching hockey 20 years ago. Seems like I haven't missed much in 20 years. You invest 82 games a year of your time. Then you go through the emotional rollercoaster that is the playoffs. And in typical fashion the leafs have performed as they always have. The money and time I've saved is astounding.

Matthews came back just in time for the handshakes while Woll avoided the embarrassment
