Brudiclad, Telchor Engineer | Copy Token Hijinxes - The Brewery [S07E01]

Brudiclad is one of my favorite decks because it's so fun to pilot. I love being able to take cards that are trash anywhere else and make them shine here by copying them multiple times with Brudiclad. This deck is definitely a more tame version of what can be accomplished with Brudiclad but I wanted to have fun with the deck and add a lot of pet cards to it.
Here's a link to a game play video with me using this very deck. Make sure to subscribe to NeoRoyal's House of Pricey Cardboard!

    I use brudiclad as a commander for my thopter tribal deck and its so much fun. Between the surprisingly high number of thopter generating cards out there, artifact buff/synergies, and token/tribal buff/pay off cards the deck can work really efficiently.

    Interesting! Thopter tribal is definitely something I wouldn't ever consider with Brudiclad.

    Great job I had a Brudiclad deck shortly after it came out but not as good. This inspires me to try again. One card I enjoyed running in my deck was viral drake

    You're welcome! Glad it was helpful! Another spicy card for Brudiclad not in the video (since it came out afterwards) is Olivia's Attendants. It's a 6/6 with menace that creates blood tokens equal to the amount of combat damage it deals. That's a very insane way of exponentially increasing your tokens.

    This deck looks really fun and the jank player in me wants to add another combo here. Spark Double copying Brudiclad and at least one creature token. Then cast Sakashima's Will, turning them all into Brudiclad while also taking a creature from your opponent. Finally, double your creature count right as you go into combat. I'll go right into the game to see it in action.

    Spell Swindle and Mishra's Workshop

  • @TheCommanderTavern

    While Mishra's Workshop is an absolute no-brainer in this deck, I'd only run it when I play the deck online. Unfortunately, I didn't buy a lot of cards from Antiquities when I was younger and can in no way, shape, or form afford one now. That being said, if anyone wants to play it because they have it or proxy it, go for it. Spell Swindle is one I considered but eventually cut for being too expensive. I'd have to leave too much mana for it to be useful. And if I already had a bunch of treasures or mana rocks for it, it was just winmore. I prefer the free and very cheap counterspells since they're more for protecting Brudiclad than anything.

    Breath of fury is better than combat celebrant in this deck.

  • @TheCommanderTavern

    @TheCommanderTavern

    Жыл бұрын

    Breath of Fury requires the enchanted creature to deal combat damage to trigger. Combat Celebrant does not. Combat Celebrant triggers on attack. Therefore, it doesn't matter if a creature blocks it. However, if the creature enchanted by Breath of Fury becomes blocked, then you don't get the trigger. So, right off the bat, Combat Celebrant is better than Breath of Fury for the trigger timing alone. Also, you don't lose creatures since nothing is required to be sacrificed with Combat Celebrant. Also, it's easier to copy Combat Celebrant in this deck, providing more bodies to swing in with. It also goes infinite with Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker. Meaning that it's a combo that's also independent of the commander. This makes it even better than Breath of Fury. You could *also* run Breath of Fury in the deck. But I would not take out Combat Celebrant for it. It is *not* better than Combat Celebrant.
