Why do trombones always overpower the tuba? The tuba dictates the volume. Not the first trombone... or the bass trombone

Consider the trombone to be more noticeable

Tuba bell faces up. Sit further back in the hall and it might sound more balanced than right in front of the trombone bells.

@@sccrguy610 it get's even more complicated...lower frequencies from the tuba spread more evenly all around, whereas the higher ones from the trombones tend to be directional.
