I remember watching him sing this almost 20 years ago, and it's like it was yesterday. So beautifully touching.

There's a reason they call him the Boss. Absolutely brilliant.
I remember after 9/11 thinking this tv concert would be such stupid hippie BS. But it ended up being so well done, and the perfect sentiment at the time. This song in particular still brings tears to my eyes.
For me, he's one of the greatest man who ever lived.
This was nearly 20 years ago. So far away from that awful Sept.11th day and the subsequent months and year to follow. I started my current job June 24,2002. 12 days and one year from then I would be 20 years working at 151 West B'way for the OCSE or OCSS. From 9/11,to the blackout in Aug of 2003, to the Pandemic and the Earthquake in 2011. NY endures. NY lives. NY survives and NY bounces back. I live in NJ now. Yet being born and raised in NY the empire state will always be in my heart.
On June 1, 2020, it’s still speaks louder than anything else.
Not even a Springsteen fan but this always gives me chills.
more than a decade later, this still moves me..
15 years ago tomorrow. This was the song that became a hymn for many of us. Saw Bruce 6 months ago. The Big Man and Danny are gone but the Boss rocks on.
So mesmerizing, soulful and wonderful. So different to hear a Bruce song performed and have it not followed by loud cheering. I think that's what made it that much more touching.
Toujours présent dans ces moments !
Iconic.

Leave it to Bruce to give it that true american spirit.
awesome
There are so many good and decent people in the world. Why must we be controlled by the worst of humanity waging wars, pushing petty arguments, petty politics for self interest, and so forth. Let the good win. With These Hands.........
Overwhelming!
Nunca vou esquecer esse dia porque minha neta nasceu no mesmo dia 😭
Wow.
I remember EXACTLY WHERE AND WHAT I was doing!!!! And when they said it was Middle East Muslin terrorism, my heart sank. Not only for the ones at ground or the pentagon or the plane that those brave souls had taken the plane from the terrorist over in Pennsylvania. I was rattled by that but then shearer terror came over me. My boyfriend of two years was Pakistani. That people, in a crisis, will blame and punish those who they believe are are some way responsible for a mass tragedy because of the of the color of their skin. I started crying as I called him. He hadn’t heard yet as he was driving to the hospital where he was head radiologist. I was crying and he was so confused. I told him to drive to his parents house and don’t leave unless it was an emergency. He thought I was over reacting until a brick hit windshield and people started swarming his car. He was one of the lucky ones. He made it to his parents home.
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Especially poignant tonight.
