This wasn't just a look at some rare and lovely vintage Bruce Lee collectables. It was a history lesson for those of us who started collecting later on. Also on Tom Bleeker's channel, he spoke about his name being obscured in more recent publications of the Bruce Lee book he wrote with Linda. It seems he was not told about this before hand much to his amazement. Always enjoy seeing Richard's collection as there is so much history with it. Can't wait for the JKD demo later on."I do not hit. I hit my guest all by itself." 😁🙏🐉

A Truly great episode with One of my biggest Mentor's Sifu Richard Torres, whenever I have a question about anything to do with the Lee Family I call on Richard and never has he been too busy to respond quickly Much Respect To Richard for what he has accomplished in JKD and in Collecting. Geeze!! That was great fellas! Sifu Torres’ Library is astonishing! The 4 editions of “Original Fighting Methods” in the boxed set laid in gold is a treasure! I especially liked when Sifu Torres pulled out Linda Lee’s paper back copy of her book, “Bruce Lee, The Man I Knew” 😉 Sifu Torres is a very humble man and I Ithank him for inviting us into his home! That's an amazing collection.😮 In the 90s I discovered a signed Hong Kong Crew Enter The Dragon Movie poster in Hong Kong. The next year I went back to the shopping arcade had burned down.☹Also in the 90s at the famous Sino Centre arcade in Mon Gok , Hong Kong a dealer had Bruce Lee footage outtakes. But I regret not buying them. The dealer isn't there now.🙁 Hope to go to Hong Kong in the future for digging rare finds. Thanks Sifu Richard for showing his amazing collection.👍

I have all shown except for the fighting method books and the Dan Inosanto book. Great episode! I have all paperback books featured! I was 13 in 1973 and bought all I could find on the local newstands through my teenage years!

I have the first four in my collection Plus Bruce Lee the man only I need and the legend of Bruce. Definitely some favorites of mine. Fighting star issues covering enter the dragon and return of the dragon are also favorites. I can also remember anxiously awaiting my order for the Bruce Lee memorial issue to come in the mail. Running out to the mailbox to check everyday for weeks on end, seems like it took forever to arrive.

Hi Charles, Always a great episode with Richard. Looking at those 70s items brought back memories of when I eagerly went looking on the news stands and book stores for anything Bruce. He still has the ads and letters from Ohara Publications, Now, that a true collector. As well as the variations of all the books! What was in those binders he also had on the table. Will we get to see those?

Charles , I’d literally get overwhelmed if I was there in your friends homes( Sifu Torres and Martinez). I’d revert to being 15 yrs old all over when I was buying my first Bruce Lee posters at my local mall, and I still have them, and that was in the 70’s ! I had everything in the video until you got to the hardback editions of Bruce Lee’s Fighting Method. That was way out of my price range! I have the paperbacks. I also have the Wisdom of Bruce Lee Someone took my Bruce Lee the Man Only I Knew while I was away at Basic Training. Great video as always. Love seeing stuff I’ve had 50 years. 👍👍

Listening to the prices $24 dollars in 1974 for some of those books they were not cheap at that time but you say$600 to $1000 for mint condition well Bruce lee collectables better Gold or Silver who would of thought plus you have the enjoyment of looking through your collection good stuff

David, that is a hard one. Richard probably has more collectibles but with collecting it is the quality of collectibles that is in your personal collection and the ones that mean the most to you and have the most significance in your life because they bring up great memories and experiences, that really makes your collection special to you so it’s a difficult question but I would say Richard probably has more items in general. lol glad you enjoyed the show. I love the 70s vintage collectibles since it was the era that I grew up in and they came out with some incredible items back there now worth a lot of money. Glad you enjoyed the show. Harry, glad you enjoyed it. We will be visiting Richard’s home again real soon to get into more detail of his items and really spend time pulling out a lot more of his collectibles. It can take us months to go through everything that’s how many items he has since the late 60s and early 70s it is simply incredible but stay tuned buddy I’ll talk soon.

@@CharlesDamianoBLC Do you mean the seminar or me sleeping on a park bench. LOL. After I finished Sifu Eric's class on the Sunday I told you I went to see Bruce's star the same as you did with Steve. What I forgot to tell was I walked there along South Hyland drive for about an hour. Then it took me another four hours after to get back to my hotel at 7.30 in the evening. I was really tiered after that.😪So spending the night in the park would be a piece of 🍰

I did not realize the Tao of jeet kune was so rare, I actually have it in basically mint condition including the cover. I still think the books from the 70s are far more informative than the new ones which seem to have information distorted.

Hmm...I was disappointed that you guys didn't showed one of earliest and best books from Ohara Publications: The Bruce Lee Memorial: 1940-1973 from 1974 and which came out right after the first Best of Bruce Lee and went into four printings, the last one on 1988 if my mind doesn't fail me. I got both the softcover and hardcover versions from 1974.
