Bruce Campbell Interview: The Legend on Discontinued, his new show with
Ойын-сауық
There are few people in the world of horror bigger than Bruce Campbell. His Ashley "Ash" Williams is an absolute legend and I know the Evil Dead series is constantly on rewatch at my house. So I was intrigued to hear that he would be hosting a brand new show coming from Ryan Reynolds. And then to hear that it was from the team behind the excellent The Movies That Made Us and I was immediately on board. I consider myself a very nostalgic person, so getting to revisit some of the items featured is an absolute joy. They run the gamut of old tech like the Blackberry and the Talkboy, all the way to the newer Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser experience. No decade is left out and it provides for a really wide-spanning show. And Bruce Campbell was born to be a host.
I was fortunate enough to sit down with Bruce to discuss the series and we get into it all: his favorite item they cover, how he became involved, and some insight into the making of the show. But the thing I was most excited about was that Bruce unveiled information about his next directorial effort! Horror fans may need to settle their expectations though, as there isn't any planned bloodshed here. Titled Ernie and Emma, Campbell looks to explore a man trying to put his wife's ashes to rest, all while following her very detailed instructions on how to do so. He described it as a dark comedy and one that he plans on shooting where he lives in Oregon.
One of the most intriguing parts of the conversation was when Bruce broke down how a Union Member can participate in a Non-Union production. Given both the recent SAG and WGA strikes, it's a very interesting point that I think many members of those organizations may not be fully aware of. So if you want to hear more about this, Bruce's next film, as well as all you need to know about Discontinued, check the video above!

Bruce Campbell is such a great guy. I met him at a convention once and he signed autographs for hours after he was supposed to quit.

Groovy!
Not going the fans a Season 4 of Ash vs Evil Dead is incomprehensible. That series was brilliant on so many levels.
My favorite Bruce Campbell role is The Adventures of Brisco County Jr. It is great! I have watched the whole series like a dozen times. If you have never watched it, then you are REALLY missing out!

I saw Bruce Campbell first on Burn Notice, then saw Evil Dead, the movie AND TV Series.
Yay Bruce is directing again :) dude is like the Frank Sinatra/Chairman of The Board of geek figures. I love his genre stuff but I'm loving that he's exploring outside of it too.

😂 just a reminder that the eclipse is on April 8th.
Patrick Duffy was living out around Medford too, and Sam Elliot holes up sometimes up around my area somewhere. Jack White has a place in the sticks somewhere in Oregon. Wonder how many more low-pro it in Oregon?
Brisco County jr.
I thought he was dead.
