OMG !! I've have the sales brochure for this from the Auto Expo at the LA Sports Arena in the early 70s. They had one there. Thats the only time I ever saw one!!!

I chased a few of these down over the years...the first one I saw in person was in an accident in front of my apartment in Woodland Hills CA in 1976. I found the silver and magenta one that's now in Europe when it resided near Lake Elsinore...it was too pricey for me. I found another one for Richard Miller back in the late 1990's, and I met him in San Diego at Bob Butt's (the TV Batmobile replica guy) place to pick it up. I found another one for Richard in Sun Valley CA a few years ago, but we never got together on it....it might still be sitting up there.

Very rare and totally groovy. I'm amazed to see its engine is turbocharged. To me however the VW bus was the first minivan. I also like how this dude loves it. Good job.

Just saw someone bring an almost complete original to Pomona Swap Meet. It didn’t run and had seen better days but looked cool with the door swung open. The owner wanted to make some fiberglass shells for the interested customer.

I had a magazine about kit cars back in the 70’s. I remember the Box as being my favorite somehow. Wasn’t there a 4 wheel steering function that Brubaker had come up with?

I first saw it on 10 uglyest cars made and i thought no way i love it think it looks cool only thing i dont like is the vw even torbo charged id love one with a Ls or a realy nice. Ferari or lambo or some supper car mid engine

Hay man My grandfather has a Brubaker as well but we have run into an issue with the front right wheel assembly it seems to be locked and we can’t get it to roll

I would unbolt the body from that chassis & bolt it on to a VW lifted 4x4 chassis...
