BRSCC Mazda Mx5 Supercup Final Round Donington Park Onboard Abbie Eaton
The championship went down to the last race of the season. Abbie had to finish 6th or better, or within 4 places of Tom Roche (orange car) to win the championship. Starting P22 from a DNF the previous race due to an engine failure, a new engine put in over night never tested before, it was always going to be tough. Abbie drove the race of her life and made it up to 6th place just behind Tom but then got taken out by Clint Bardwell. From that point on Abbie thought it was all over, the car was too damaged to continue so she pulled into the pits feeling a little down to say the least. However, Tom finished 2nd and didn't secure the win or fastest lap he needed to overtake Abbie in the points and Abbie won the championship by 1 point! What an emotional rollercoaster!!!

Dont usually comment on videos but this one is def worth a comment. First I want to say how brave you must be not cut that last bit out of the video. You drove a champions drive. You put your head down and marched the field like a women possessed. Even after the spin you didn't give up. I don't know you but I am proud of you. And congrats on the grand tour gig.
Everytime I watch this last bit, were I'm trying to comfort Abbie by stroking her on her helmet, which quite obviously she won't feel, gets me quite emotional. We all went through the wringer that weekend.
These 14 minutes gave me more than the last 6 years of F1. So much emotions.
What a drive!!!! The car control even in traffic was amazing!!!! Shame you got punted off but honestly that the most entertaining bit of racing I've seen in a long time!!!!
You made me like and admire you even more for showing the whole clip. You care and you put yourself out there. You did fine. Still proud of you young lady.
I was also racing at Donington that day and saw you in Parc Ferme looking a bit distraught. Didn't think it was the right time to come and say hi! All the 924 Porsche racers were rooting for you and were delighted to learn later that you'd won the championship. Congratulations and please keep uploading the vids. Shows the passion that you have for the sport.

@@AbbieEaton That was some racing, you don't get that in formula 1
Simply a brave unfortunately great emotional moment of a great woman
Nice one Abbie. Also well done to get on Grand Tour, will do you a lot of good I think.
12:40 That moment when you put every single aspect of your mindset to the race and then you must get through failure you don't deserve. Thats the beauty and also the crudeness of life. Thats the beauty and also the crudeness of multiple cars races. Thumbs up for such a big dedication.
This video was suggested to me today. I did not read anything about it before hand but only knew about miss Eaton having to start 22nd and had to get to the front to win the championship. I was settling in to watch a good overtaking race and so it was. I never expected the shunt from behind and felt really bad about what happened for she was driving brilliantly. Just glad it ended well. Good onboard footage. Nice one!
Was absolutely gutted- so glad I read the description after the video! Passion, emotion and buckets of talent
Everything good about this has already been said and I'll say it too. You're a fantastic driver and very few could even hope to be as good as you. Keep it up.
Beautiful! A beautiful race. Beautiful passes and overtaking. And a wonderful racer: passionate, courageous, and real. What a pleasure to watch this! )))
Wow.... Abbie... What an amazing driver you are. 10/10... Absolutely loved your spirit. Shame you were hit that way.
I've only just found your channel.. but i find you awe inspiring.. Your driving is amazing and i will be watching more from you.. keep it up.. truly amazing x
I honestly don't know much about how to drive a racing car (even if I've always wanted to get more in touch with it) but I loved every second of this clip. Bellissima gara! Greetings from Italy.
What a race! Amazing skills! I feel really sorry for what happened then, you did such a fantastic job (you are obviously a lot faster in corners then the other drivers). Awesome. Thank you
Blimey, that was exciting! Well done.
Damn! But I got to say, that was some beautiful driving. New sub
Excellent Abbie!
Amazing driving!
God so much emotion. Girl you are a fucking beast of a driver.
Spectacular drive! Real joy to watch despite the takeout... superb fight!
Abbie's my champion! -Jezza, probably
You always come back stronger from this sort of experience. Good job there weren't any cats around!
Great drive, but feel for you. Don't know where you were position wise before the enforced spin, but can see why you were so upset. All the best for the future.
wow I would have been so frustrated... and it shows never drive angry... flawless driving until she got kicked of the track after that 2 big mistakes but cought the car well... nice driving skills and I'm happy for you that you still won... even that video is a few years ago... and to be honest... I guess I would have cried too...
Your footwork is beautiful and your inputs smooth.
Looking forward to seeing you race again🙂
Buen trabajo sigue adelante.
Heroic drive abbie
At 10:55 I was like "Go Abbie go Come on". I felt really bad, she had given absolute hell through the race. I have a little crush on Abbie, I know she's a lesbian and way older than me but still. Not only does she look hot in that racing suit but damn those gear shifts and late braking, those overtakes oh man I love her. I was actually taking notes to improve my driving.
Ah man the heartbreak at the end :(
Incredible drive, unfortunately we can't control the peeons that lift are back end out of sorts. You are a fantastic driver. You drove a great clean race, more passion than 95% of the drivers.
Pure passion there like
In races, sometimes in final laps, mediocre and tired drivers make a bend in apex with soft hands and too late braking. I have experienced similar situations while driving karting. Sometimes it made sense to go after the race to go say an idiot to the driver a couple of selected words. You have Abbie a great touch of the car and the track. The driving style is beautiful to look at.
Wow what a race. You did an amazing job there up until the clown behind knocked you off. You deserved to win, drive of a champion that. Congratulation.
what a drive.
Well done. He knows who he is and we all know who you are ... Enough said 😁
Wow.
Damn, I was on the edge of my seat throughout. Is there broadcast footage of the race I could watch? Like cameras outside track
Do not worry, you still won, you are the best. The twists are your element. Much later you slow down and choose the right trajectory. Car lead to the limit. If The Grand Tour changes the format of the program, it is a pity that we will not see you on the track Ebola Drom
I have to admit .. after Abbie was forced to retire the car, water was coming out of my eyes
Awsome driving Abbie 👍🏻 decisive, precise and aggressive, love it 👍🏻 Shame about that f#*%er at the end. Enjoy watching your videos especially mazda ones and grand tour 👍🏻
6:45 nice airplane-view. Nice agrassive driving.
iRacing :FOV120° ^^ Nice race
helluva charge. fkn shunted! ugggh. glad you still got what you deserved in the end! congrats!!
That's painful to race so well to be taken out so pointlessly. He was miles back and driving into a closing gap, just a dive bomb. I've just got myself an MX5 for track racing! 2,0 litre mk3, can't wait. Always been so jelous of you guys. Will be a little while before it's ready to enter into a cup though.
OMG!
is that a go kart wheel?
the angry and frustrated Abbie still drives way quicker than me

Joseph David Read the description and you’ll understand why.
What kind of punt was that? Going for gaps that don't exist just to put himself and others out of the race.m
