It was a sad day when they announced that " Bass Sensei Louis Johnson had passed away, it totally broke my heart "!! R.I.Heaven
I notice there are some people who don’t like this music. All I can say is that I feel sorry that you cannot recognise amazing musicians and music when you hear it. I would be proud and honoured to play just one track with these incredible people. The Brothers Johnson will always be the coolest guys on the planet. R.I.P. Louis everyone loved you Man x

George & Louis weren't connecting well with the audience there in Oakland that day. I wasn't there. I would have been all up in there. It was disappointing to see their lack of connection, but the music has nothing to do with it.

I'm extremely lucky to have met both George and Louis and their families in the late 70's while I was in college. They sat down and ate lunch with me in a mall. They both were very nice to me. What an experience! I was very sad to hear of Louis's passing.
Two cool brothers brought the funk to mainstream audiences all the way from Cali 🤗🤗
A element that is missing in today's music. Real Soul feel good music!

They're on the revival circuit. Those classic '70's and '80's-era bands can still be found today, albeit rarely with the original members.

My very first concert when I was 15; Brothers Johnson opened for Chaka Khan and Rufus. Damn what an indoctrination to live shows. Over 100 live shows later and I still remember that one! Louis played the hell out if that Bass! My older brother and I met Chaka after the show right before she got in her limo. Friendly and fine as you know what! Yeah, I remember my first! Lol

Also from the UK and have loved them since back in the day. I have fond memories of persuading our school music teacher to take a road trip to what we described as a jazz concert. In fact it was Steve Hillage and the supporting act was the BJ! My cunning plan worked perfectly but the teacher was pissed, although ultimately he enjoyed the gig and I am fortunate to have those memories to this day. Can't beat the fonk!

Wow, still awesome! I became a musician after seeing these two when I was a boy. Glad to see the brothers back together again!
Saw em in St Louis in 1980. Chaka didn't show up so Rufus cut their act short. (Which meant more time for the BROTHERS). I wasn't mad at Chaka that night. The Brothers tore it up!
love the Brothers Johnson ... was young when they came on the scene and my mother had their first album. And Louis my reason for loving the thumping bass and wanting to learn how to play.
I'VE BEEN A LOYAL FAN OF THIS GROUP SINCE 1978, that's when I first discovered them and I was just a kid then. Glad to see the brothers Louis and George together.for good.. BEAUTIFUL.
The brothers were at war. The mother got them back together. I wish people quit saving the best or greatest. EVERYBODY'S GOT THEIR OWN GROVE

I was so hurt to learn that Louis past. He is one of my inspirations on bass. Just an amazing bassist. I remember seeing him just praise the most high after he took a smoking solo. That really impressed me. So many people think that their gifts come from themselves. But he gave the most high the Glory. RIP
I remember I was in Cali and this came out got to see them and Maze AMAZING
